I like how you tied the lighting fixtures over your kitchen counter w those bar stools. How about a wall sconce that has that same architectural (?) look? They have those rigid cord-cover strips you can use on top of the wall instead of having to drill into it. With your contemporary touches, that might look great. Neat little bar!

LeAnne I saw your house. It i beautiful. I am from the south so animal things in the house don't bother me. i think they give it character.. Ithink put the turtle shells on your cypress built in. I am horrible at this stuff but just make it your own.

Hi 12jeannemd. Very nice ceilings and beams and kitchen. How many pendants do you have hanging in your open concept living room? Also wonder if that door pictured to the right of the pendant is is an entrance door? The reason I ask is I am thinking to swap out the pendant light, shortened over your island and to put an orb light where that pendant is, especially if that is the entrance door. You could do a bronze finished orb, which would set those beautiful beams off and floors and tie old house with modern updates together and be a wow factor upon entry.

Oops, just saw the ceiling fan with lights.........grrr. OK, is this fan newish? If not and you like the orb idea, you could replace the fan placed higher up closer to the cieling and get one with a smooth profile lighted fan bottom, very updated looking.
