The problem with your dream is that it takes lots of money to make it happen the way you want it to.

The good thing about your dream is that you are both young with a big future ahead of you. You can plan for this dream and eventually make it happen.

Meanwhile, wherever you live, you can approach life as if you already have the dream life that you want ......

Be frugal and design the interior of your apartment or house using recycled and sustainable materials.........but keep it colorful and delightful.....

Buy fresh organic food and love cooking it together.......

Have a small herb garden in your window and nurture your plants.

Create a space for yourselves that is a peaceful oasis within the city that you live in.

Work hard, but play hard too and enjoy every moment of your life........and stay fit and healthy......

Enjoy life now.........

Think of it as a goal, not a dream. Banish depression about this because life is only going to get more challenging.

Any luck since you posted? I plan to make my dream a reality by financing the land, then starting out with one livable container to add on to complete home. This will make it easier buy actually living on the land and putting cost towards project vs paying monthly rent elsewhere. :)

take your time do it right. first off, get your land, really look around, make sure it has a water source, a spring or easy to drill for a well. pay it all off, then put in your septic field. pay that off. the shipping containers are 3500 each, two will give you an amazing home. figure out your foundation. line up a welder. stack em or side by side, get a roof over it. then spend holidays at your new spot and finish the inside. all along, figure out how you will generate income, can you work from home (you will need satellite internet) or find property that is secluded w/i a commute for work, but private enough to feel remote. there is a lot of thinking, planning and saving that has to happen until it really happens.

Im thinking of buying a container home but need help with my foundation and building permits in Las Vegas, Nevada ....
