    Love the bianco

Both are great lokking. The kitchen appears dark and while I prefer the Bianco i am concerned about the darkness…since all the cabinets are dark and matched have you considered using two different countertops to add a little interest…one for the island and another for the window area with a fabulous backsplash.. How did you address the lighting? Did you plan for pendants over the island? If so they apear off center in the photo. Also it appears the recessed light at the window is too far off the wall and you will be working in your own shadow. Hopefully the photo is deceptive.

I like the Bianco better, i think it looks richer. Since it is a busier countertop i would suggest a more subdue backsplash like a one-tone subway tile picking up whatever the colors in the bianco are (i.e. grey, cream, white)

I love the White Macabus!! It's so different....the Bianco is something that you see in a lot of kitchens.

@ fififiona, the pendant lights will be adjusted and there will also be a pendant over the sink. I thought using 2 different countertops but that means more decisions :-).

Thanks again for the feed back

@ nikkiseashores...thank you. I am using a "smoke" subway tile back splash and do love the how the colors in bianco pick up the color of the backsplash. But again afraid of too many dark choices. Thank you.

So sorry you have to go to all the expense of moving electrical and patching the drywall. Please remember any hanging fixture over the sink or any water source must be a minimum of 5 feet from the water source both vertically and diagonally to meet code.
Yes more decisions but more high end.

Beautiful cabinets. I like the white macabus, but you can't go wrong with either. Very elegant granite.

The White Macabus is stunning in its simplicity and will be more timeless in my opinion. I'm afraid I don't think your backsplash choice works well with either granite counter. Please reconsider. Good luck from Montreal!

That 5' "code" does not exist in the NEC (US electrical code)

Rebecca thanks for the input. What would you suggest for the backsplash?

Hi Penelope - I'd be happy to make some suggestions, but first, which counter did you decide on?
    White Macabus wins!!

Now the floor tiles are down...

I agree with all your comments and yes I am so excited! The tile is a subway tile and it is called Smoke, but I think it comes off as more of a blue to me and that was my concern. Thanks for the suggestions...back to the drawing board to look for another tile option. I was also considering more of a glass subway tile with a hint of gray. I will post new pics when the counter is installed on Friday. Again, thank you for your suggestions.

My pleasure. You're almost there- it would be a shame to get this one element wrong when you've done so much that's right!

I do not love grey with the espresso cabinets. I think you should to the white macabus with an off white tile that matches the countertop.

It may be hard to tell from the pictures but the Cabinet color is a cherry slate which is why I tried to bring gray into the color scheme.

I like this backsplash color with white macaubus. Beautiful counter choice!!!!!

I vote for an off white subway (possibly beveled) that carries the granite tone upward. You have to consider the cabinets are a color--beautiful btw. The flooring is textural and has a lot of interest, maybe more than one or two colors. And then the granite (one of my favs) is classic and simple--but carries at least two colors into the visual field. Don't distract from the beauties you have already chosen.
