How was the base done for this diving board? Is there a safety risk with the board having a space between it & the stone?

    A raised surround was built around the diving board to provide easy access up onto the board and to hide the typically unsightly support and underside. It presents no other risks beyond any typical diving board. Clients just usually prefer it. Thanks.
