Are you looking to completely close it off or to just divide it from the rest of the apt area?

Preference is to completely close it off, which allowing for light in the apartment, so maybe french doors or sliding glass doors on one side. But not sure how to close off the other side? Thoughts?

It looks like you already have some kind of sliding doors on the right side of the space. Not sure what you part you want to close off or how this area relates to the living area.

I wanna move the sliding doors to that side and break the walls on the current sliding doors and convert that area to the living room. That will give me the benefit of a larger living room and a larger den / second bedroom. Would it be possible to build sliding doors by the window?

Can you post a floor plan? Hard to tell how everything fits together.

There are two standalone columns in your photos, but one in the floor plan. Where's the other one? Maybe you can draw on the floor plan where you want the bedroom to be. The only logical place is your current office, which I think you want to combine with the living area.

Apologies, but that's a picture of the same column you are seeing. One is a closeup of what its like right now (its been used as a standing bar) and the other one is a picture of what it will look like once its vacated. I would really like to build an all glass room there if possible since I need the space. So I need a creative idea about to build the room there and ensure that when the room is left open, enough sun light still enters the apartment. Thanks!
