Will the brackets work on a cast iron rail around the deck?

We live in a townhome. There is a deck on the second and third floor we would like to put the window boxes on. Is 30" the smallest?

We will add a photo shortly showing the bracket included with this window box and yes 30" is the smallest length we currently offer.
