The inside of the cupboards is "Atomic Tangerine". I think I bought the colour just for the name. I am new at playing with colours so I was really pleased with how everything came out. The house was built in 1946 and I don't think the kitchen had been touched in quite a while.

And, to be fair, it was hubby's idea to use the comic books : )

The best part is that the new coating on the countertop protects the very vulnerable seams in the laminate top. They are all right in the corner next to the sink and often fail when they get wet and ruin the top. Bold in style but conservative in function. A great combination.

Really creative. Definitely not for everyone... like me, but I love how you matched it perfectly with an awesome color. I really love how you changed to open view cabinetry and spice rack, it all flows perfectly with the kitchen. So different yet goes together great! Coming from someone who personally would NEVER do something like this, I love it.
