Hi lah -- I know it's not what you're asking, but the first thing that jumps out at me is the curtains looking a bit shoved into your bay window, when you have an architectural opportunity for a very tailored look having them fill the rectangular niche area surrounding but not blocking the window. Fix that first, and you'll have a sweet little nook for a small table and pair of chairs...

Two chairs and a circular table between them is just what that window area needs.......with the new curtain panels. Find chairs with a pattern to break up the solids in the room. Add a piece of great art.....maybe even a music theme.......over the Clavinova.

Can't tell how big the white piece of furniture is or what it is? Is it a console? Can it go on the wall between the doors in the dining area? Or maybe center it across from the Clavinova? It feels awkward where it is now.

On the recessed area, I would paint the same blue color or two shades darker, also around the windows and in the alcove plus the small ceiling of the bay window. I like the idea of panels on the front as 'Barnhardt's Gallery posted.

I bought two chairs today! Good start? Love the idea for the window. What a difference! Here is pic of the white buffet. I don't think it or the piano go in the room.
