I have already determined my kitchen soffit is not removable. As you can see in the pics the bump out is right at the edge of the roof line so there is no where to go up. With that in mind if I put in new cabinets how might I work with that awkward soffit inside??

I am geared toward tall cabinets with moldings, maybe some glass doors. But if I have to stay with regular height cabinets with moldings so be it---whatever works. I just don't want to have an awkward look. I thought about open shelves by the window but do not really like that idea. Any ideas are GREATLY appreciated.
