I really like your wallpaper & choice of colors! Basing off of what I can see, I would get a chandelier that blends with your table lamp. If you don't want that, how about something more modern with a big round shade (kinda looks like an open ended drum). Look for some throw pillows and shams that mix together your main colors. Floral prints would look nice if you like that. I like the silver on your desk. Maybe stay with that for your desk accessories. You don't have a lot of work space on your desk or storage space in it so look up. You seem to have wall space above your desk for a cork board or folder bins. If you can't find anything the right color, you could spray paint the bins with silver spray paint & cover a cork board in some coordinating fabric. Paint the frame of it silver and use spray adhesive to stick on the fabric. You could also hang a big mirror with a fancy frame on the wall somewhere. Treat yourself to fresh flowers in a pretty vase occasionally too.

chrisinky, WOW! thanks! I'm a huge fan of floral prints but i was always afraid that I was using WAY too many prints! You read my mind when it comes to lighting I have my eyes on a structure along the lines of this one, tell me what you think.

VJS12, It's wallpaper and it comes in a nice pink, yellow or light grey from the same designer.

Lovely walllpaper and headboard. I agree with Miranda about adding more lightness with new bedding. You can't go wrong with white Egyptian cotton. The window treatment is too heavy to my mind. I like the idea of mixing colours but would go for sheer white voile and silver mix. If light is an issue then a flush made to measure blackout roller in white - actually the more I think of it I think that would still be too fussy...why don't you just take down the curtains and just have a couple of white roller-blinds made up. This would pick up the white pieces in the room (which are lovely btw). Then you can change the chandelier by picking something pretty yet contemporary that matches the table lamp. Also mirror frame could be worked with by spraying silver. Could you then hang it on the back of the door rather than leaning it like that. With scales pushed under the bed, a lovely furry white rug for the floor and I would say the room is absolutely sorted!

All in all, you have some lovely pieces in the room and the general idea is great. In fact, I shall be saving an image of yours in my ideabook for DD's room as I love the wallpaper, accent headboard and white pieces!

That light fixture would look great, the room is so beautiful. I would go with a desk chair similar to this.

Or for something less obvious in terms of lighting solution how about this -

I think that light fixture would be great! I see your tv over the desk now, but I still think you could fit a short long corkboard or something underneath. That would also help hide the tv cord. To add a lighter color to the bed, you could pick florals with a white or cream background. If you could be lucky enough to find a damask print pillow that matches your wallpaper that would look nice mixed in too.

I don't think floral would add too many prints. You have so many large solid colors in there & the wallpaper is light enough that its not over powering. I like using a balanced mix of prints, just not too many of the same kind. I think you've done a great job on a small room. You just need the finishing touches.

Does bed has to be in corner, or could you center in room more? Like headboard. Wallpaper good. Drapes wild. But you like them. So that's important. Chandelier, go glam. Not too big but hang lower and go crystals , in black and silver. Desk light same glam. Some bling, would help pull it together. Desk chair black velvet or dark gray silver satin. Add black and silver to mix. Bedding the same go satin comforter in shiny silver, white sheets fold comforter back 1/4 of way add pillow shame same as comf. Add small pillows in in the teal, peacock and black. Make glam.

Modernistlover, thanks for the advice! definitely love the idea of the furry rug as I actually did purchase a furry white throw a few years back to go with the bedding I planned to buy long, long ago. I also definitely agree with you on the light fixture and I believe someone else also commented to match my desk lamp so the chandelier is decided! YAY! The curtains however are MUCH nicer in person. they are actually custom made and each color was actually a separate fabric that i had to sow together to create what they are now! the little stripes are in fact velvet and the larger ones are silk. I have attached pictures of my curtains so you guys can tell me if any of the colors would work as bedding (since they are my favourites)!

Yes, i definitely hate the wire but I haven't seen any way around it so far!

How about a brighter silver color for the mirror frame, like the accessories that's on your desk? Since you probably can't put the tv somewhere else, make it blend with the room. Find an old antique looking frame that fits around the tv. (Think of the style of the small frame that hung over the peephole on the back of the door in Monica & Rachel's apartment in Friends.) You could spray paint it silver to match other silver accessories OR dark pink or dark turquoise to match the bed.

I agree w/ chrisinky about trying to conceal the TV. Another option you may want to consider is TVCoverUps.
