Apple Pie - what would you do with the sills?

I don't know enough about tiled sills. I'd ask a pro. Deborah Butler of Brickwood Builders has answered a bunch of questions on windows in showers.

If you plan on tiling around the windows, remove the sills for a cleaner look and tile to the glass. Personally I wouldn't worry about tiling the walls around the windows. I would go up the wall from the tub surround 1-1.5 feet tall and stop the tile. Similar to what your inspiration photo shows.
As for your shower floor, since you are working in a tight space I would have it angled to the edge of the tub giving you a little more space. You can also have a seat installed in one corner (say left back corner of shower). Am including a quick drawing so you know what I am talking about.

You don't have to put tile up to the window. You could just do one or two rows of tile around the top of the tub. If you want more tile, I would go up past both sills and pick a stopping off point somewhere short of the ceiling.

Cinar - great idea. I know I'm corny but I take a bath and rinse in the shower. Hubby is solely a shower person. I saw a photo that had a step from the tub into the shower with no glass there of course. Only glass door to enter. I'm short about 9" for that idea so having the seat installed is great for making me like showers a bit more (shaving).

I had also thought about rehanging a shelf that I had repainted. I also had a granite shelf made to match the countertops to replace the wood shelf top. I'm thinking I want a cleaner look and this would cheapen the whole thing, plus it might be too heavy. I'll try to find a photo of that.

I'm also planning for some niches in the shower and another on the short wall end of the tub.

Not sure about tile but do love the tile photo above !

Yes if only mine comes out half as good. I'm hopeful.

By the way, what type of tile are you planning to use on the walls? Something similar to the travertine #noce product on your floor or a whole another route?

Hi Cinar - So excited. The work started this morning. Yes it'll be the same tile going up the wall. Floor tile is 16" We may be going 12" but don't know. We did the demo this past weekend to help out with costs - was actually pretty fun! He's doing a bit of tear down and building the niches now. I can take more pix when he leaves shortly. The first photo below is something the hubby loved (he's the shower guy!) so he's having a full/wide niche. I'm having the another niche (a bit wider) for me. The lip that was b/t the tub and shower is being narrowed so the shower will gain some space. Also THANK YOU TO YOU, we're going with the angling of the shower which to me is more pleasing to the eye and will also gain a bit more space. I'm not going to have a corner seat as I'm not in there much (only to rinse) so not needed. But then I got the bright idea to have another small niche what I'm calling a toe hold probably into the lower left of the shower head wall just for me to prop my foot up to shave when needed. I also am going to put another small niche on the left side of the upper shower head wall just for soap so it doesn't get all slimy with the rest of the big niche. Oh and by doing away for any area b/t the shower/tub, I can't put stuff there. I will have the area behind the vanity and the niche for that. I want a clean, nice look. I also had a shelf that I took down intending to put it back up (above the long wall of the tub) but am having second thoughts. I can post a photo of that. I had a granite shelf made to replace the wood shelf and maybe can use that for something. Don't know if it would look weird/bad/funny above the tub. I could use that for a photo or something like that. This is such a treat to work on and see materialize. I appreciate your response.
