I would have a washer/dryer, a small kitchenette for coffee, beer, and booze, a sauna, and puppies.

I would have lots of natural greenery, swimming area that connected outdoors.

Maaaybe, double sinks in the bathroom. Lol

Let's start with a very large , very soft bed. I agree on the puppies. A small lap pool to one side and a reading area with a wall of books to the other. Of course there has to be a small kitchenette and someone to bring me drinks or snacks. In between they can clean up after the puppies.

now i simply must ask this, noone owns a place that large with out some sort of help. why do you feel you need kitchens, w/d any sort of cleaning stuff in your personal sanctuary. lol

No, no kitchens or laundry, this is fantasy, there's a place for all that outside the bedroom.

But there should be a reading nook that has 180' views, a soaking tub with a view to die for, and an adjoining rooftop pool, to swim under the stars...

well not being a nyc person i really would not know i can only go by what is in the article. so are you playing the game or is pedantry your game? if it is, could you just go play with those who do not have brain burps? it is hard enough to get things out, without others making you feel bad about what you do get out. thanks.

Im cooking so Ill find pics later, but Id add a private spa with massage room, mani pedi chair with massage back, spa, hammam, spa in my room, spa on the terrace outside my room, full gym, hair salon for my private hairdreser, massive closet, comfy bed, lounging area with comfy couch and TV... that should do it.

I wouldn't mind a little display of shoes or handbags to drool over when I felt like it, but the huuuuuuuge dressing room would be its own space, not in the fantasy bedroom. This would only be a small display in room :)

Well thats tough then. I have a 450 sq foot room now and have no clue what to put in there!!! I just want a bed and nightstands and Im happy. Thats all thats in there now and I dont much want or need anything else at the moment. Sigh :-/ Im not into spending much time in my room. Im not into shoes or clothing, I dont watch TV. However, I would love to work out, to get massages, to have my hair done... Those are things Id love to have in my private space. Perhaps if I could hire a stylist Id let them do the closet and pick clothing for me. I like being around other people so Id love to invest more in my entertaining spaces and terraces and my wine collection! Oooh now that I could go on for hours about haha

Oh and HF my house should be somewhat ready to show off in the next month or two so I might open myself up to the critical eyes of Houzzers.... (or maybe not!) haha. Lets just say I will be making my guest bathroom into a "library" with bowler hat lighting... sound interesting?? ;)

In my fantasy 1600 sq. ft. master bedroom, which in reality is bigger than my multi-level house, I would have a state of the art sewing/quilting studio, closed off from the bedroom so I would not bother my husband when he is sleeping. We would have comfortable sofas and chairs; mini fridge and microwave for snacks; table and chairs for said snacks; huge walk-in closets (I'm talking two that are each as big as most bedrooms are); and a huge luxurious master bathroom with a shower built for two! We would never have to leave this paradise, which is fine by me!

This is what I call a closet! In my dreams!

With great space comes great opportunity! When we have a large open master suite area to work with, we love designing in a spacious master bathroom with a beautiful focal point free standing bathtub - it is a fixture that can single handedly define the style of your space and acts as a great statement piece. A large walk-in shower - perhaps not with doors, but simply a long pane of glass dividing it from the rest of the space - can also feel luxurious and help to fill the room.

Adjustable bed sounds good. All puppies are welcome. Although I'm partial to Boxers and Poms. Go figure. I need to add a luxury bathroom and a terrace to mine.

My dream bedroom would have to be on the first floor, with a huge wall of windows and French doors, leading out to this morning coffee spot.

also you stated about the clothes and closet space, not interesting you and others had various opinions on it. when i lived back home and one of the elite needed dressy clothes for an event, they would fly to their new york private appts to have them made. if you are living there - with endless money, why not have the fashions come to you? you and a few of your closest houzzer sit lay on your loungers in your fluffy slippers as the private fashion show commences. that is worthwhile space, no?

HF actually I think I saw them on a lighting store website, but they are so cool. Not too many places one can put them and my husband thinks Im completely insane but I LOVE them!

Maybe I should create a discussion on ideas for that room!
