I like how the range hood is not really noticeable here. My parents kitchen has an island dedicated to a range and it actually does not have a hood. Somehow they were able to ventilate it underneath the range, which I find very cool.

I saw something similar to this on Instagram (I think from Angelo’s Marble) where an eating island pulled out perpendicularly from a main island. I will try to find it. It was definitely unique

I like the cabinets here. I like the color/wood tone, but I also like the clean front without handles. I imagine these are a push open/close setup?

I love the extra deep island with storage on both ends. I like that it allows you to put a sink in the island without it feeling like it takes over the entire space. I realize this limits seating options and we may not have the space for it here.

Really cool skylight. I think the bookshelf incorporation into the island is interesting too.

I love the indoor/outdoor flow of this place. My favorite Philadelphia row home has the living room in the rear, with a flow to a backyard space like this.

If we do an addition, a skylight like this would be awesome. One that opens could be even better, although I don’t know we’d get much air flow in that corner of the property.

I think I would prefer lighter tones, vs the concrete/stone look of the condo kitchen. We have less natural light here and darker floors
