Sweet fire pit area — this is the same house as the one with the playful under-deck space that has the Tonka trucks and the swing. Worth looking at the whole project — I like its feel and mix of materials.
Interesting to think of doing lighting under the deck and what that might make possible.

Thinking of this, too, as a possibility for the under-deck area. Granted, this space has skylights, but look how pleasant it feels as a semi-enclosed space! This is really expanding my sense of how lovely that under-deck area could be as a spot for quiet relaxation as well as play.
Sort of interesting how the hot tub is part of the deck here. I suppose that if we kept the hot tub, one thing we could do is actually connect the whole deck to it — ?!
