Style: Upleveled/Classic and Updated Northwest MCM/International Style (honoring the of the past, leaning into the future, my own term “Northwest Classic New Century Modern”)
I’m looking for a “Northwest Regional” take on of what is commonly referred to as “Transitional Style” but modified a bit - instead of a blending of “traditional” and “contemporary” designs, I’m looking for more of a blend of “traditional/classic” design, especially those that have stood the test of time (45%) integrated with the best examples of “mid-century modern” (40%) design accented by with “luxe” or “modern regency” flair (art deco/art nouveau/Hollywood-regency “inspired” modern takes or even the best versions/examples from those periods).
A transitional mix of traditional and MCM (instead of a mix of traditional and contemporary, which is typically described as "transitional"), with some eclectic/iconic pieces. Design interest is: curated not chaotic., purposeful not rigidly organized, uncluttered with iconic/intentional visual accents not severely minimal. Integrated design - not necessarily seamless or “perfectly balanced” (some juxtaposition is exciting and interesting).

Like: - walnut grain - simple style (veritical/height) - white counter Don't Like: - exaggerated crown molding at the top (doesn't make sense, I get there could be a moulding but ... seem out of place) - blue grey island color - weird lighting - shiney extra long subway tile - faucets not matching (no need for two sinks imho) - cabinet layout awkward in the right corner (seems like the upper cabinet should be on the sink wall). - oak floor a bit too red (warm)
Like - the cabinets but the stain goes a little 'blue' (cool) too me, off the neutral part of the spectrum. - like the covered refridgerator Interested in (but not sure) - the dark stone surface (leathered, I think).

Likes: - wood tone and wood grain of cabinets - walnut mixed with white Dislikes: - wide plank floor (color, grain and width compared to cabinets (fighting each other) - hate the cabinet hardware (horizantal metal) - hate the open shelves - don't like the counter surface (seems plastic, too white, not natural).
Likes: Mix of white and walnut - walnut grain - soft/brass gold (not shiny or yellow) !! - the waterfall wood 'bar' integrated into the waterfall counter.
