I think the little gas fireplace would look cute with something like this going on.
I see this kind of openness through the living room to the back of the house.

I just had a thought to use the exterior brick along the wall that the tv would be on (like in this photo, it has the tv on the stone, ours would be brick) we can make it whatever color we want, maybe red?
