We decided to do a “swim spa” rather than a standard hot tub...the ones we are looking at are 20’ x 8’ and if installed in ground, require 3’ around. There is a 5-6’ setback requirement, which I think is just for the swim spa structure, not the “pit” if installed in-ground.
