Garage storage

Reply to: Must agree with branson4020, however being organized for how you work is next best. I don't do much mechanical or project work in my garage, have a basement workshop. These photos show 3 sides or our garage - 2-car. A cabinet for small items to always be handy. Slatwall for hanging, shelving for larger seasonal items and storage tubs plus a stand-alone shelving unit. The shelving unit is on casters and behind is a "sleeve" where storm door inserts are kept. Floor space can quickly be vacated for cleaning.

Reply to: In our garage i found three options the most useful...counter space...narrow shelving above ...deeper shelving below...and lastly a big shelf over the garage door ....for big lightweight items like outdoor cushions ...the counter space is the most useful as it can be left open for temporary use and project space..the narrow shelves for things you want to be easy to see and access.....and the deeper shelves for storage of boxes of thing only used seasonally ...above one counter on the wall ..pegboard for hanging tools..paintbrushes...etc....also any spot that will offer a few cabinets with doors...for things that you dont want to get dusty..
