Reply to: I used a great lighting designer on my home. Here is a kitchen island example from her portfolio of work she did on another client’s house. This LED light bar throws off enough light for all sides of the island. Another picture of the same open space. See the white architectural sconces at the top of the ceiling near the beams? They throw off fantastic uplighting. Lights like that above your pantry, the door that is already painted blue, and whatever is to the left of your pantry could probably light your entire kitchen quite nice and brightly. You can have them painted blue to match the wall color.
