I like the idea of an old ladder as a pot rack (though this one just has junk hanging from it, which I don't like).
Practical place for utensils and knives - this is a kitchen that gets used. It's a bit of a bland space though.
This kitchen has a few too many "heavy" items - the table, the hood - but I must have a pot rack! Pots in a drawer are the worst.

I like almost everything here: butcher block countertops with soapstone, white cabinets, white subway tile backsplash, and a pro-style stove, though I don't like the range hood.

The glass backsplash over the subway tile is an interesting idea. I don't know that it works here necessarily, but it certainly would be easy cleanup.
I LOATHE these focal backsplashes. They look so overdone and instantly date the kitchen.
I like the cabinets and drawer pulls, but this butcher block is too dark and polished, and the floor looks weirdly like a rug. It doesn't look like anyone has ever cooked here. I don't like the faucets with the big spring on them either - they're practical, but we've washed dishes in the service industry too often, and they remind me of those horrible jobs.
More soapstone/butcher block cabinets; I also like the white subway tile - very clean and simple - though I don't love the range hood.
I like the white cabinets, and the mixed countertops - butcher block and soapstone. I love soapstone for near the sink because I worry about the butcher block warping, but I love butcher block counters.
I love the idea of built-in dog bowls in an island! We're always accidentally kicking the water bowl. I also love butcher block, but not this color - way too red and polished. The tin ceiling is really interesting, though - I think in a small kitchen it might feel claustrophobic, but I love the look.
Cookie sheet dividers! So smart - every time we put things away currently, we play jenga to stack them just perfectly so that they don't cascade down on top of us...
Separate bins for recycling and trash would be so great - we always end up with paper sacks full of yogurt containers and wine bottles sitting on top of the trash can.
Drawer under the sink for cleaning products is such a great idea!
Undermount sink! I love farmhouse/apron sinks - I don't love the modern looking countertops.
Great idea to have the outlets up high so they don't get water in them! That's the only thing I like here.
I love the idea of a walk-in pantry/larder/ This one is a bit too country for me, especially the chair, and the colors look dingy. The drawer pulls are great.
I think a potfiller faucet over the stove is not practical in such a small kitchen as ours, but I definitely like the idea of a faucet that's high enough that I can tall vases underneath it in the kitchen sink; I like the length and moveable elbow, too, so I could fill things on the counter... The backsplash here is way too fancy, though I like the white with the white cabinets.
I love this shelving unit for holding plates, cups, etc.
Undermount sink is a must!! I like the black counters and the white cabinets. I don't like the colored subway tile - it means you can never redecorate but are stuck with Sage or whatever for the rest of your kitchen life.
Such a cool idea to make the fridge look like a pantry - I love the old school cabinets and drawer pulls, and the butcher block counters.
I think hardwood in a kitchen is pretty impractical, but if I ever did it, it would look like this-
I would love to knock out the exterior wall where the door is and put in big French doors instead, but if we keep the wall/pantry, I definitely want to swap out the exterior door for a dutch door.
More rustic, natural elements - too many get too cutesy, but I like a few farmhouse style things.

I LOVE rolling barn doors. I think if we keep the kitchen wall and turn the side room into a pantry, this would be a great replacement for the normal door that's there.
