Like the simplicity of an architectural wall that has integrated / recessed lighting : simple yet very effective. I don’t think a dark wall is an option for our dining room though

This wainscoting is a bit too chunky (boarder panels too thick / wide) — but like the idea of this in white or neutral (bright) or something to complement the jewel green across the hall in the study (wainscoting would tie in with the theme in the master bedroom)

Like the earthy material of the shade; but it has a more structure than the rattan shades so is a bit more sophisticated
