The space is anchored by flat-panel-front cabinets made of Aspen oak with a vertical grain and adorned with low-profile black hardware. “Minimalistic hardware lets the cabinets stand out as the feature design element,” Sessions says. Opaque glass cabinets help break up the wood, while slabs on the island end match the backsplash for cohesion. Sessions uses Houzz Pro software to keep track of client leads and communications.

The armoire (not in this pic) is custom walnut. You can't see the toilet, but it's Toto Ultramax II with C200 bidet. Windows are Marvin.

The manufacturer provides detailed drawings for how the venting can work. You can use 90 and 45 and 22-1/2 degree elbows to go around any obstacles that may exist in your building. There is a maximum amount of total feet allowed for your particular blower. When you use a 90 degree pipe vent it may count as 5' of pipe. I suggest you download an installation drawing from the manufacturers web site to determine the best method to vent your fan. Regarding the wood frame question and its "flammability": An oven hood is intended to exhaust air not put out a fire. Most kitchens with custom fans are built into a WOOD frame. The distance from the cooking surface and the hood are generally detailed by the range manufacturer. Most require about 30" minimum from the range top so that the device works properly.
