Over countless weekends spent viewing display homes, I’ve noticed something interesting. Coat cupboards are included with great frequency in the floor plans of foreign-based builders, but are nearly always omitted by Australian-based builders. Perhaps this is because most of us Aussies aren’t subject to bitter winters, like those found in the northern hemisphere, but I firmly believe that there is a place for the coat cupboard in the Australian home.
A well-organised home is a pleasure to be in. But sometimes a jumble of everyday items can muddle a room. For example, where do you park your bag and jacket when you get home?
