Note for upper cabinet. Maybe with this brighter lighting, gold leaf is not needed

I really like this one. They added a bit of cabinetry at the top to carry over across their soffit. feels very finished to me, especially with the small lights helping add some brightness here. I also like that the cabinets are pulled a few inches back from the hood.

Up to ceiling with backsplash. While I like this idea, I don't like this hood.

Sleek hood but dark again.

Note how they finished backsplash behind hood as the cabinets eneded, they needed to do something to give a top finished edge to the backspash.

Need sleeker hood, but this could be close to our overall design if we

notice soffit and trim

Sleek minimalist hood crown molding goes around hood at top to finish it.

If we don't put in a soffit, can we do something like this. The issue I see here is where and how does the backsplash end.

like the sleek hood and open design, but again dark.

Backsplash into hood

open above cabinets hood too massive

Do we pull the uppers back side to side to give them a bit more room like this?

Note backsplash, trim at the top of it, amd crown molding at top of vent stack
