I LOVE THIS KITCHEN!!! The dark wood floors, the natural wooden table backfitted into the island, the simple stools, the dark trim windows with a ton of glass and light, the neutral color palate, the exposed beams, simple cabinet pulls, silver appliances (don’t need our fridge or dishwasher covered), the placement under the second floor loft but open to a lofted ceiling in the great room, the very simple and unfunny cabinets and the simple tie in to the ceiling, the wooden wall, the antique feel of the flooring, the feet illusion on the cabinets to give an antique feel, the metal table legs, the direct and very open flow into the great room area, the metal stove hood—I literally love almost everything I’m seeing here both individually and in terms of how it hits overall when put together like this. It’s rustic and natural and modern and industrial all at once!!!
The color of the flooring pulled me in. The light gray is a nice neutral on the cabinets and I like the contrast of the natural wood for the island, stainless appliances and simple linear drawer pulls work well, and I love that the room feels bright with tons of light coming in, even though the color palate is muted
I like the look of this faucet- its unique, it distends, it might stay cleaner in stainless tho—I also like the stainless apron sink and having he sink at a window (additional prep sink for island or in back pantry), also like the stainless appliances and the natural wood vs painted cabinets contrast
I like the unique feel of the faucet (but it may be tough to keep lean w all the detail work), although also there would need to be a much larger sink elsewhere—I like a stainless steel sink (apron, undivided) for the primary sink and a smaller prep sink is ideal (that can be set underneath the counter, also stainless) and at least one of the two needs to have a flex faucet that can reach out and fill large pots
I like the sink in the island and I like that there are functional cabinets/ drawers, will need deep spaces for larger pots pans and trays, will want an area on wall side counters deep enough for smaller appliances, will need a lot of outlets, like the effect of a different counter top for the island, will want under cabinet lighting
Definitely need a large island with seating for many, want it all one level tho, the chairs are really fun (wood/metal mix w antique feel), I absolutely love the approach to lighting over the table (unique, rustic, airy, industrial), and I like the pendant lights over the island, I like the hardwood flooring w its varied sized planks and the salvaged feel of the wood
The backsplash is really cool. Unique, unfussy, not trying too hard. Going for a natural feeling and not creating a theme park vibe. The wood is too light for my taste and do not want glass cabinets, but otherwise the simplicity and lack of clutter really gives me a good feeling
