Love the backsplash. I think the countertops would be prettier in a softer white--less veining. The light fixtures are pretty, too. I'd like the island to be softer or antiqued.

I like the floor. It's porcelain tile that looks like antique terra cotta. Radiant heat is installed beneath the tiles.

I like the floors and the finish on the cabinets, as well as the dark vent hood. I think they'd all work in our Victorian house. Also, the island is a nice size for entertaining. And, NO open shelving is a must. (Despite what the description says.)

It's not my ideal kitchen, but, it's so charming and sweet, I had to save it. Actually, put a kitchen table in the middle of it, and it might be close to my ideal!
