Monochromatic - containing or using one color and were modifying that color. The color in this room has different shades of pink from dark to light.

Analogous- Any one of a group of related colors that are near each other on the color wheel. the three colors are used to create a scheme (calm, restful, peaceful, etc). in this room its Yellow, yellow orange and orange.

Complementary- Are colors directly opposite each other in the color spectrum, in which they create a lot of movement. in this room its red and green.

Split Complementary - Are three colors consisting of a base and the two colors next to its complementary color. in this room it has the split complementary colors of green, violet, and orange.

Triadic- the use of three colors equally spaced around the color wheel. in this photo it colors are red, yellow and blue which are primary colors.

High Key- Are the tints and middle tones at the light end of the value scale. They are usually pure colors and convey a feeling of soft, harmonious ambient light. The colors are light for example the grey and white.

Low Key- They are dark tones, usually with little tonal contrast. there really isn't that much light going in this room and it is lit by the lamp.
