Like the contrast between the countertop and the backsplash, with the white cabinets. I wouldn't choose black and red, but maybe blue and blue mosaic? Depends on wall colour. But keep idea of coloured countertop, and backsplash, with white cabinets and white appliances.
Style of cabinets is similar to what we already have, and i like the look.

I like the contrast between the floor and the cupboards, and I like the clean look of the cupboards. Also really like the idea of a small open shelf (maybe above sink) where some collectibles could be placed. Like the cupboards around fridge. I think Andrew suggested that for our kitchen.
