Where are we going to store our soap, bleach, etc? Top of the coat closet?

I like the small, collapsible drying rack. I wonder if we could put one in the main floor bathroom as well, for any extra laundry we need to dry.

This is the footprint we can expect. Closet on one wall, bench with hooks on the other. Hate that the boots can't be stored.

Surprisingly good use of space. Narrow bench would have boot mat underneath, full row of hooks at kid height, open shelves with boxes lower down for kid mitts. Done!

Add an extra row of hooks down lower, and that's all we need for a mudroom.

I really like cubbies. keeps each person's mess contained. kids can stand on bench to hang coats.

Nice! kids hooks lower than adult hooks. adult hooks have to be high enough for long coats. need a bin for their mitts at kid level too.
