phyllisrouse, I imagine they chose quartz due to the look and durability. Although granite is just a durable, it is impossible to find one that has the pure white look shown in the photo. There is virtually no variation with quartz like you get in a slab of granite or marble.

  • Lara Armour

the colour is pure white. We chose it because it looks fantastic, is very durable and has little/no maintenance required. We did the all the countertops in the entire house in quartz.

Lara, do you know who makes the floor tile? And did you get it from Weston in Canada? Thanks for your answer. I'm trying to find it and no one seems to know what it is, Weston in Canada is checking.

  • Lara Armour

Unfortunately I don't know who the manufacturer of the tile. I did purchase from Weston Tiles in Etobicoke (Toronto) Canada, 416-766-4154. Mary helped me. Feel free to ask her to look up our file to find you the full info (it was in April 2014).

That is all of the description on my invoice. They were purchased at Weston Tile in Etobicoke - maybe they will be able to point you in the right direction. Sorry!

Do you mean the Laundry basket or the small basket? I'm wondering where they keep the Laundry basket as I don't see one! Thanks!

  • Lara Armour

Oh! - On the right hand side of the picture there are 2 taller cabinets (near the door) - the bottom one opens up and is the laundry basket. :)

Yes the cabinets are custom but you can absolutely re-create the effect with big box cabinetry. the drying bar is just a metal bar people use for shower rods and can be easily cut on site to any length. Good luck!

What’s the best way to wash sheets? Wash sheets separately using a mild, diluted detergent. Setting your machine to a slow, 100-degree cycle protects the fibers by removing any surface residues. To keep your sheets looking and feeling their best, wash them weekly to remove body oils and protect the fabric.
