Full stone example

Maybe even closer. Seems like there are plenty of examples with full stone and with halfway stone. I sort of prefer half way stone so it does not dominate the room so much but not a strong preference. For the wood I would love to find a natural edge doug fir to try and loosely match ceiling beams

Here is a wrapped mantle in a setup not too different than ours. I think this looks really good with stone below and drywall above. Obviously stone is not necessarily the right style.
