My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Closer to our original plans of staircase by front door, bedroom is a little less open but I like the window/balcony feel as well. Wouldn't mind this as a compromise to bring the staircase back into the main house.

I like the idea of the curtain for privacy and half wall, but maybe not a full wall. More of a fence type wall would be fine.
