Pulled an amazing disappearing act- spent a meeting discussing concepts and plans, then no-showed to the next meeting and did not return multiple emails or phone calls.

Kirsten & Darryl were really easy to work with and did a beautful job. The house purchased was located in the Riveria area of Santa Barbara. We reconfigured and remodeled two bathrooms, installed hardwood floors, added a Juliet porch in the master bedroom to take advantage of the views, added a utility room off the garage, and refinished the outside deck. It was great having them work as a team. Darryl provided his construction expertise and Kirsten did the decorating. Once the construction was finished, Kirsten furnished the entire house to the specs given her. It was icing on the cake! They came in on budget and were great about giving a line item costs and how much was left to spend in each category. I can honestly say, there were no hiccups! I would work with them again in a heart beat. In fact they are now providing us with Estate Management Services since we do not live in the area.

In 2009, we hired Becker Studios to give our house new life-- a goal they certainly accomplished. We felt very lucky to have had Darrell and Kirsten in charge of our remodel: we painted the entire house, redid all the bathrooms, took out columns and installed hardwood floors, in addition to a total makeover of the interior decorating, updating the look of the entire house. Together, they are an incredibly professional team. They use the most qualified sub contractors, and got things done in a timely manner, making sure the project was always moving forward. Our project manager, Pete, was thoughtful and responsive to our questions and needs. Emails and calls were returned promptly. Practically speaking, Becker Studios provided billing that was well itemised and easily understood. Plus, If we did have a question, the office responded quickly by email. Anyone who has gone through a remodel knows the importance of keeping a job site clean, so we were thrilled that Darrell's guys always took the debris away, minimising disruptions and potential problems. Most importantly, however, we used Darrell and Kirsten because they have vision and excellent taste. They paid meticulous (yet practical) attention to detail with items like lighting fixtures, and added really effective and luxe architectural details, for example, replacing our boring normal heating vents with seamlessly integrated Asian-style grating that one wouldn't immediately notice, but when you do, make a potentially boring practical aspect of a room truly beautiful. Becker Studios did a particularly excellent job with the bathrooms, each with slick and creative design using environmentally approved materials. The master bathroom is now our favourite room in the house, with its dramatic yet elegant design, thanks to Kirsten. Overall, we are so happy and thank Darrell and Kirsten for imbuing our house with new soul.

Becker Studios is a turn key provider - from design to construction - Team Becker delivered and enhanced our expectations of the final result of our project. Too often people over promise and under deliver - in Becker Studios case they over delivered - no sales push - no lack of clarity or transparency - they did what they said they would on time - on budget and beyond our hopes. Value, competency and integrity were the cornerstones of our experience with Becker Studios - it is one thing to say you are the best - it is completely another to be the best - Joe and Sara, Montecito, CA

I hired Becker Studios to come up with a design and plan for an outdoor space in the school of which I am the director. Unfortunately, we had to cut down a large tree due to sickness. The tree created a lot of shade in one of our outdoor courtyards. I needed to come up with an option for immediate shade, beauty and a design that would match the design of the exisiting building. Becker Studios came up with a gorgeous plan which consisted of two pergolas with vines that are growing up and over the trellis' and the replanting of a magnolia tree. We are a church run preschool in Montecito, CA, all that we do has to be approved by the board of Trustees as well as the Montecito Association. I was very pleased with how well Becker Studios manuevered the many meetings, provided professional graphics display boards to explain the project in great detail, communicated extremely well, completed the job within my time frame when school was on break (they did a great deal of work and finished early!) and exceeded my expectations. What they have built will last many, many years and has added beauty and the function of shade to our school. They under promised and over delivered! I would highly recommend Becker Studios for any project large or small.

We hired Becker Studios four years ago to help design and rebuild our house that was completely destroyed in the Tea Fire in Santa Barbara, California. Darrell and Kirsten embraced the spirit and sensual character of the house we lost and managed to build the new house with the same heart and within our financial goals. They guided us through the business side of insurance reimbursement process, the permit and rebuilding process; they were creative, resourceful, and knowledgeable about all facets of building materials, design, and architecture. As homeowners, we played an active role in the design process. Darrell and Kirsten always listened, gave us invaluable advice, and better ideas. We asked them to build a house using green and unconventional materials. They did the research and created a home that is stunning to look at, solid as a rock, ecologically green, fireproof, and earthquake resistant to 8.2. We lived on the building site and we were very aware of the construction process. Becker Studio’s exceptional staff and crew were consistently professional, hard working, courteous, and friendly. They were well organized and there were no unnecessary delays. The result of Becker’s attention to detail and custom work is exceptional. Darrell and Kirsten Becker have been a delightful partner for us. We can truly say that this dynamic duo made our dream a reality and we are eternally grateful for their personal commitment to our vision. Our home has been featured on the cover of Montecito Magazine and it is a real testament to this talented Becker team. I used this firm for 6 remodels for reselling. They were competent, super honest, and finished the projects on time. They provided many good ideas for efficient yet effective remodeling. They worked as partners with me in making decisions. They are conscientious about following up. They can do both high end projects as well as being very budget conscious when necessary. I would highly recommend them.
