Grateful for an innovative kitchen & bath remodeling designer and the construction company which took the vision and brought it to life. Acassa Construction was tasked with a major reconstruction involving extensive space planning & conception. Walls, doors, & floors were reconfigured to create a fully functioning kitchen, dining room and laundry room. The bath was transformed and enlarged to serve elderly needs including replacing bathtub with shower and protective grab bars without losing the sleek, sophisticated high-end look of a modern bath. The construction crew was polite, professional and skilled at their craft. I absolutely love the transition from a dark, traditional clutter look, to a clean, high tech, well lit modern environment. I now enjoy entertaining again. With the additional counter space, added pantry, bar & even a new linen closet, having guest is a breeze. Bill and his team were very prompt and efficient. Start to finish on a complete bathroom tear-out and rebuild in less than two weeks. They went above and beyond what I expected. At the conclusion of each workday, the site was completely cleaned up. All materials that were provided were of very good quality and installed without problems. Having dealt with previous remodels and other contractors, these guys were far above anything I have seen here in south Florida!

We hired Acassa to remodel our home. They had previously done another complete remodel on a previous home we owned, and the work and overall experience was top-notch. Bill and his team did an incredible job. They completely remodeled my kitchen and 2 bathrooms. They also painted the entire interior, installed new flooring and trim throughout the house, replaced all interior doors and casings, and removed the popcorn from the ceiling. The end result was amazing. Bill provided design expertise at the beginning and was always available to answer questions throughout the project. I strongly recommend Acassa construction.

We were very pleased with the house renovation work gone by Acassa. Our work included renovation of the floors, kitchen including cabinets, two bathrooms, dinning area, as well doorways and extending a wall in addition to moving the laundry. They completed the major renovation within the time frame agreed to as well as being timely when addressing our check list. Bill Monroy and his team at Acassa Construction far exceeded our expectations on a complete renovation of our home in Ocean Ridge, Fl. Coordinating a project 1200 miles from home during a pandemic with a tight HOA construction window was never going to be easy but Bill and his PM David Rivero delivered a finished product exactly as promised and equally important, on-time. As common in any renovation when on-site situations differed from architectural drawings Bill's team offered workable real-time solutions that didn't delay the project. Acassa Construction's sub-contractors were exceptional as well. The availability of the HVAC, electrical and plumbing crews and their respective attention to detail is a testament to Bill's relationships developed over his many years in business in SE Florida. Acassa always strives for excellence whether it's a perfectly mitered baseboard or a paint additive that eliminates ANY brush strokes or roller marks. F=Finesse. Yes, finesse!! Bill always insured that all of his work was done with finesse. G=GRAND!!! The word that everyone uses when they first walk-in to our Acassa remodeled home!! Bill's choice of doors alone is worth it all!! H=Happy!! Seems so trite, yet every time we sit in our living room or at the counter in our kitchen we smile...ear to ear! I=Impossible, yes impossible to find a negative about this experience. Despite back-ordered supplies due to the Covid situation, Bill always found another aspect of the project to allow his artisans to continue. J=Justice! We decided to hire Acassa Construction to do some renovation work on a house that we purchased at the onset of the pandemic, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. From the first time that I met Bill Monroy, I knew that he would be the right fit for the project. Unlike the other contractors who showed up empty handed to give us estimates, Bill came prepared and did not waste my time. He took notes, asked all the right questions, gave helpful and pertinent recommendations and was meticulous in taking down all the measurements for the work that needed to get done. He then follow up with a cost estimate for the project two days later! The cost estimate was thorough and listed all the items for each project and was reasonably and comparably priced in comparison with other estimates that we received. The project scope consisted of gutting three bathrooms, minor renovation work on 3 bathrooms, changing out floorings to one side of the house and a complete remodeling of the summer kitchen. Throughout the whole project, Bill was exceptionally helpful and put me at ease in helping me to design the bathroom and summer kitchen and picking out tiles, cabinetry, floorings, hardware and appliances for the summer kitchen. Fast forward 3 months later, and we had a beautifully renovated house to enjoy. We love all the renovation work that Acassa did on the house and will gladly hire Acassa Construction for future home projects. Thank you Bill and team for a job well done!

I want to thank Bill and his team for the excellent renovation of my master bathroom. It looks like something out of a magazine. The work and results far exceeded my expectations.

Unfortunately I regret hiring Acassa Construction In Delray Beach to demolish my existing driveway and install a brand new modern driveway with ramped access and a seating area. Shoddy work, rough finish, poorly planned and designed to be cohesively united with completed ramp and seating area, unsafe ramp/left a one inch drop off, divots, foot prints in cement, stain starting wearing away 3 months after completion, long cracks in cement and at edge of design, uneven and rough square border. Acassa Construction failed The City of Boca Raton's building permit for the apron. Second review failed permit remains. Acassa Construction has failed to make any adjustments to meet permit compliance for the City of Boca Raton and to remedy poorly poured driveway. Please feel free to contact me. Photos, permit, numerous letters to back complaint. :( I would give "zero" stars if the option existed!

We hired Acassa Construction for a very large renovation in January of 2018. Our project was a result of an internal flood and we were looking to rebuild as well as renovate additional parts of our home that were not affected by the flood. I am extremely detail oriented and have a very clear idea of how and what I want done. Bill and his crew were extremely meticulous in their work and had incredible suggestions for problem solving anything that came along. They were incredibly professional, always showed up when they were supposed to, we clean and polite and very helpful. We are very pleased to credit Acassa Construction with doing an excellent job when they reconstructed our kitchen with beautiful cabinets and laminate floors throughout our apartment. During the project we felt that Bill and his staff were interested in doing the very best job possible within our budget. From the advice and support we received in the showroom to the removal of the existing floors and to the actual installation of the new vinyl floors and cabinets, we felt that everyone took great pride in their work. We hired Bill to do a total renovation of our condo. In addition to the construction we used Bill and Tina to help us design the bathrooms and kitchen along with all tile work. Hired Bill and his crew to renovate our outdated kitchen. The project involved removing all existing cabinets, appliances and plumbing. With a bare kitchen Bill's team meticulously installed new cabinets, quartz countertops, backsplash, appliances, sink, faucet and paint the walls. It was very easy to work with Bill. With the help of his design center team we were able to make great looking selections while staying in budget. The final project cost came in exactly as quoted. No surprises. Good things happen--- We were in a large construction supply store one day trying to determine how to proceed with the renovation of our three bathrooms when a gentleman overheard us and offered to assist. Several weeks later we stopped by the showroom of Acassa Construction. To our surprise the same gentleman that had helped us weeks before, Bill Monroy, owner of Acassa Construction, was there and we began to talk again. After considering several proposals we chose his company to assist us. The scope of the work included three full bathroom renovations, addition of a small closet in one bedroom, renovation of a dressing area and construction of a new deck with jacuzzi and lighting outside of our master suite. I have some experience with construction and my expectations were not high for this project. Fortunately we were surprised at every turn. Bill and his company showed great flexibility as the project changed and elements were added, the project stayed on schedule throughout and came in on time and on budget. We were living in the home at the time so it was necessary to maintain a clean and orderly environment which the workers respected. If you are looking for a full service contractor that is honest and will do his very best to meet or exceed your expectations I would highly recommend Bill and his company for your next project large or small.

Just finished a new addition to our home with Bill Monroy of Acassa Construction. We can't speak more highly about him. His workers were a pleasure to work with and highly professional. The addition was for a new master bedroom suite (including a new master bathroom and closets), new roof on the whole house, new A/C and ductwork, insulation, and a new patio ceiling. Bill was always accessible by phone, text, or email. He walked us through the permitting, construction, and final permits. He never complained when I asked him to do something not in the original contract, such as adding an outdoor shower on a new wall. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

From start to finish Acassa Construction was reliable and professional. The work area was kept, by the workers, as clean and as minimally disruptive as possible. The bathroom and living room came out perfectly. There were no surprises no extra charges. I would use Acassa Construction again.

The principal of this company, Bill Monroy, makes a lovely impression when he comes to meet a prospective client. Unfortunately, our renovation was a nightmare. Bill offered very little oversight of his workers and the workers themselves were third-rate, from painters to electricians. We received a number of complaints from the condo board about the trash left outside the unit each night during the length of the project. The problems ranged from Bill, the owner of the company, buying the wrong color paint even though I had e-mailed him the names of the colors. He returned the paint and again, bought a color I had not specified. The paint job was poor and had to be redone twice. Painters did not use painters tape when applying black paint to a staircase set against a white wall. Our contract specified that walls and ceilings would be skim coated. Although the skim coating was included in the total price of the project, approximately $43,000, Bill would not adhere to the contract and I had the skim coating done only after I agreed to pay an additional $1,000 for the work. The painters did not clean the premises and left trash and paint cans on the lawn outside my unit. Workers left filled refrigerator unplugged so all food rotted. Painters dripped paint on new kitchen cabinets. (Most of this is documented by photos) Bill never acknowledged any problem, always maintaining "homeowners always want everything to be perfect." Of course we do! I paid him about $43,000 and left a few thousand on the table when he just became too difficult and upsetting to deal with. He had promised to send photos of the work as it progressed, as I was at my Manhattan home during the length of the project. I got a total of two photos. I am more than happy to back any of this up with photos and more details. Less than a year after painting was completed, my bedroom has large cracks running several feet. I contacted Acassa about this and received no response. I would not recommend this company.

Bill Monray renovated two bathrooms for us during the winter of 2016. During the entire project Bill was responsive, returned calls promptly, and always addressed our concerns. He did quality work which was fairly priced. He employed a great work crew who were neat, efficient, and conscientious. I would definitely call Bill again for any renovation projects we are considering.

LOOK NO FURTHER! YOU HAVE FOUND YOUR MAN! THE BEST OF THE BEST IS BILL MONROY at ACASSA CONSTRUCTION! I was born and raised in South Florida and I also happen to be the daughter of a real estate developer, so I have always known that good contractors were hard to come by. It wasn't until I became a homeowner myself that I unfortunately discovered that good contractors are not just "hard to come by" but almost IMPOSSIBLE to find. Thankfully, when we were looking to do an accent wall in our home, our friends referred us to Bill over at Acassa Construction (formerly Gemco). We simply told him that we wanted an "accent wall" and he took it all from there: he spent hours with us scouring over pictures on the internet finding inspiration and designing the perfect wall based upon the contemporary look we were trying to achieve. Bill NAILED IT! He was able to start the project quickly (right in the middle of the holiday season), his workers were all courteous, professional, punctual, cleaned up after themselves every day, and took extreme pride in their work. They were all perfectionists, and they genuinely seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Another very important note (in my opinion) is that some of Bill's workers have been with him for many, many years, which speaks volumes for what kind of person Bill is and what kind of operation he runs! We are BLOWN AWAY by the finished product and the quality of work and every single person that walks into our home says the same thing! We cannot thank Bill and his team enough, and we will certainly be using him for any projects in the future. I have worked with several contractors over the years and Gemco has been the most professional of all of them. The quality of the work was always first class. My biggest pet peeve is timeliness and if Gemco said they were going to be there weather permitting they showed up. I would highly recommend them.

It was the most frustrating process with a very sensitive and defensive owner. No matter what the issue was, there was always an excuse. I started writing everything in detail and it's just too time consuming and lengthy. Do enough research, ask enough questions and write everything down. By keeping notes, texts and emails we were able to save ourselves from more headaches.

Complete turnkey project services at a cost that's competitive with piecemeal contractors who farm out work to others or leave it to home owner. Gemco can supply all of the materials and take responsibility for all labor. Every possible detail and finishing work was furnished. Didn't have to ask. Bill even did some research on the web and found us the perfect mirror for the Master Bath. All through the process from design to demo and construction as well as after project touch-ups were handled expertly and quickly.

Bill is a perfectionist and was able to help guide us with design choices that ended up perfect; the work was done on schedule and within the estimated quote. When I first met Bill, he walked through my door for a meeting EARLY with a huge smile on his face. Since he was early I was still finishing up with an insulation removal quote, for which he waited patiently with out complaint. For the next 20 minutes while I was finishing with the insulation contractor, he listened attentively and asked a few questions on my behalf. When the insulation man left he calmly told me about a service that FPL has for insulation and referred me to FPL's list of insulation removers, which saved me $700. He didn't ask for anything in return. This was a genuine and selfless attempt to help me as a new home owner. Remodeling work is a messy business. You are going to have mistakes and it is those mistakes, which cause the most tension and stress between you and your contractor. When I was working with Bill, he fixed every issue without fuss or hassle. If something needed to be changed or fixed, he just took care of it. He went above and beyond on everything and never charged me extra. Even when I asked him to charge me more, because I began to feel like I was taking advantage of his good will, he wouldn't accept it. Bill and his team at Gemco built our new kitchen. They grouted our floors; installed and sealed marble countertops; installed cabinets, backsplash, hardware, a new garbage disposal, electrical outlets, and recessed lighting. This was not an easy job and we absolutely love it! I was impressed with every member of his team and will absolutely hire him again for future projects.

After an exhausting search for a good contractor and getting the "run-around" from other companies, we finally found Gemco USA Corp. We spoke with Bill and he was amazing! We hired Gemco USA Corp to re-do a corner shower in our guest bathroom. We took out the existing corner shower "plastic mold" and had Gemco build a new shower pan, tile the wall with a niche and mosaic, and install frameless glass shower doors. We had no clue where to begin with this project. We didn't know the first thing about the different types and styles of tile. Bill helped us figure out exactly what materials we needed and explained the whole job step-by-step in detail. His estimated project timeline was spot on! He quoted us 4 days and in 4 days the job was completed. His crew was great as well, work diligently and cleaned up each day. I hired Gemco USA in May 2015 to act as General Contractor (GC) for the renovation of the master bathroom (approx. area 11’ x 10’) in my condominium. I hired them based on the outstanding reviews they received on Houzz.com, as well my inspection of one of their completed bath remodels. The scope of work included Demo (down to the studs); Framing of a “Zero-Entry” Barrier in Shower, Platform for Soaker Tub (to allow for drain connection), Shower and Bath Niches, and Decorative Wall Cubicles; Sheetrock/Durock of all Walls; and Installation of Wall and Floor Tile (porcelain, stone, glass mosaic), Double Sink Vanities, Mirror, and Bath Hardware. Gemco sub-contracted the services of Mike the Plumber, I.M. Electric, and Selective Glass Design with respect to the installation of all Plumbing, Electric, and Glass rough and finish work. Gemco was also responsible for obtaining the necessary primary and sub-permits from Palm Beach County and scheduling/passing all required inspections. Bill Monroy, owner and president of Gemco, managed the project. All work was done in a timely and professional manner. There were no “gaps” in scheduling, employees and sub-contractors always arrived as planned with positive attitudes, took great care to protect my property from dirt and damage, and followed all condo rules. Bill’s interpersonal and communication skills are exceptional; he responded to all calls/texts within minutes. In terms of direct supervision, Bill was on-site to plan and measure the first day of the job, the first day of framing, the first day of plumbing, and as needed thereafter. He worked closely with his employees as well as the plumbing and electrical subcontractors to help ensure that everyone knew what to do. If I have any criticism of Gemco, it’s that some of Bill’s employees require more supervision than others. The quality of all work, by employees and subcontractors, was excellent. On the rare occasion that I asked for something to be redone, Bill was more than accommodating…without any extra charges. Bill offered design suggestions that proved invaluable to the function of the shower (“zero entry” barrier) and the overall look of the bathroom (e.g., decorative cubicles). His plumbing, electrical, and glass subcontractors were superb. Gemco’s portion of the job took about eight weeks; pretty standard for the scope of this renovation. I would be remiss if I did not make special mention of two of Bill’s employees: Edgar for his excellent tile work, and Roy for his outstanding framing and finish work. It is important to note that county inspections were easily passed. In terms of the cost of the work, Gemco’s price was very fair; midway between the other two estimates I received. In retrospect, I know I made the right choice…there was never any “nickel and diming” for “extras.” I wound up paying exactly what I had contracted for. In summary, do not hesitate to hire Gemco USA for your renovation needs. I would definitely hire Gemco USA again for future remodeling projects and that’s the highest endorsement possible.

After having a very bad experience while doing our kitchen renovation we were hesitant on hiring a contractor for our bathroom renovation. After a great deal of research we decided on Gemco USA and it turned out that we couldn't have made a better choice. Bill and his team did a great job! Bill gave constructive critisism on our design ideas and helped greatly with coming up with a design that we love! They were very flexible and accommodating when we changed our mind on a couple of things in the middle of the project. His carpenters are top class, they work fast but still manage to put out a great looking product. We would definitely use Bill again!

I used GEMCO to add new windows and doors on my home. The project required the concrete block walls to be cut for new openings. GEMCO did a great job. They worked to and achieved the architect's design. Every aspect of the job including concrete, carpentry, electrical, and finish work was professionally done. They even installed travertine floors. We had a crack in our cast iron stack behind our kitchen and had water damage as a result. Bill immediately responded, bringing in a dehumidifier. As soon as our tenants left (and without a deposit for the work), Bill removed the kitchen cabinets, countertop, and everything else adjacent to the kitchen wall, removed the kitchen wall and replaced with new studs, drywall, and a new cabinet under the kitchen sink. Everything looks great. We had troubles with our mortgage company endorsing the the insurance check. Bill understood the situation and still completed the work without a dime toward the deposit. It was important for us to get the work done quick so we could get tenants back in there soon. Bill did a great job on the water damage and was very flexible with payment for the job.

Gemco did three bathrooms for us as well as three bedroom make-overs. The workmen were professional and polite, and we were so happy with the jobs! In fact, the bathrooms "sold" our home when we decided to move in a tough housing market.
