I think doing your research is VERY important on permanent structures - and that's what I did when I decided to have a covered patio built on to my home. I was referred to Concord Construction (Barry Wilson) from a total stranger, but her conviction was overwhelming. I came to this website and couldn't believe all of the positive feedback that I saw. To say that Barry was a pleasure to work with is an understatement. His response to calls and texts is absolutely impeccable. On what I considered a very difficult project, he had the patience and vision to help me see it through. He also allowed me to be very involved in the creative process. Barry Wilson with Concord Construction took our unfinished basement from nothing to a mid-century modern entertainment space and music studio! We added a full bathroom, bar area and TV room in addition to the studio. We asked for many custom and unusual finishes. We ended up with beautiful tile-work, countertops and a killer TV/fireplace accent wall that Barry built from scratch looking at pictures and drawings we provided. Barry did a wonderful job from start to finish. On the initial consult, he brought in his entire team of subcontractors to ensure my dream renovation was even possible. I wanted to turn an awkward closet/office area into a master ensuite bath and turn the current bath into a upstairs laundry room which was in the basement. So there was a lot to be done. This was my very first project, Barry was incredibly helpful, he talked me through the project, explaining everything out with all my options in words I could understand, recommending vendors and especially trying to make this renovation more cost effective since we have already discussed remodeling my kitchen! He has always been very easy to get a hold of, accommodated my terrible work schedule, and even after the project was completed he has still helped me out. I am definitely happy with the job and look forward to working with him again on future projects.

Guest bathroom remodel From demo to full install of everything by everyone the job was incredibly well coordinated. All of the crews were prompt and polite and finished everything in a respectable time frame. All of the work was high quality and all of the plans were reviewed and revised on a daily basis in a clear and concise fashion Would highly recommend Concord construction for my next project.

I found Barry/Concord Construction through Houzz and I am so happy I took the chance on calling him up and then using him for my home remodel. The remodel was very extensive on my 107 year old home, so I have waited a few months before reviewing to make sure everything stayed fantastic and there weren't any issues after he was completed. I am so happy, relieved, ecstatic, that we love our home more now than when we had our big reveal! Here are some more details: - When first meeting Barry he was booked for the timeline I had in my head, but I felt immediately so comfortable with him, I changed my own timeline. After meeting with other groups and lots of estimates, I knew he was he right man for the job so I waited for him to have a free spot. So happy with this decision! - We left for three weeks on vacation and trusted Barry and his team to be in our home and make radical changes like taking down three walls, closing a fireplace, adding a door and windows, and many more major updates. The entire time we were gone he would message us and send pics so we wouldn't worry. The communication between us was great, we were constantly brainstorming fun ideas, solutions to problems and ways to make our project amazing. - Our home had some major surprises with uneven floors when a major wall was removed. Floors so bad you could roll a ball across and it would pick up speed. Barry called in friends and colleagues and spent hours and hours figuring out the best way to solve this problem and make this the best for us. - When a new HVAC unit was needed, it was a conversation of how best to handle this increased cost and accomplish what we wanted. He always took the time to meet with me and explain what was happening, what he thought we should do, and then we could work through the pros and cons. Although there were some overwhelming problems, bound to happen in a remodel like mine, he made them easier by calmly explaining and detailing what was happening. I felt I could trust what we was saying and that he was on my side no matter what we decided. - One of the coolest features of our home is our new fireplace with 100+ barn wood that was on our property. Barry and I worked together to figure out a custom design and he then spent hours building this out, making a million custom cuts and brainstorming how to get cables hidden and our 70+ in fireplace installed. It is truly one of a kind! - One of my favorite stories of our renovation, I am sure not his :), was when I approved our new HVAC unit to be in one spot. When I came home I was so bummed because it blocked some of my view out my kitchen window. Not a huge amount, but enough to bum me out. I mentioned this to Barry and he ended up digging out some of the mulch and moving the unit over as far as he could so that this wouldn't be a problem anymore. This is the above and beyond work that I started to get way to accustomed to! I couldn't have been more relieved and appreciative of this change. - There was also a lot of custom work Barry did that made our old home feel updated but more homey. He made our custom pantry, added some shelves to the side of kitchen cabinet, removed the frame around a window so that we could have more back splash, and wrapping our new beams in our old barn wood. - I also very much appreciated the cleanliness and friendliness of any crew member in my home. Every team member cleaned up after themselves, there were runners down to protect my wood floors and sweeping done every night. Often I was home alone with whoever was coming in that day, and I always felt safe and comfortable. They were also super sweet about my boxer that sometimes got too excited with everyone around and barked and wanted to play. This home improvement was a BIG DEAL to my husband and I, not only because this was our first one, but also because of the immense project. Barry made this process as good as he could and as fast, while providing the BEST results. Friends and Family are shocked at our before and afters but most of all, we are. We are shocked at what people can do and so proud to have completed this project and with Barry. What we did: Took down three walls, added a door to the deck, closed fireplace and built a new fireplace, new window, moved fridge and built a custom pantry, new counter tops and back splash, new hardwood in one room while sanding and staining the rest to match, new beam wrapped in barnwood, painted the whole first floor and steps and ceilings, recessed lighting on dimmers throughout and new HVAC unit.

I hired Barry because of the reviews here and he is now our contractor for any and all projects we have. It was only 7 weeks from start to finish on our major kitchen and master bath remodel. Walls came down, soffits were removed, difficult mismatched flooring was dealt with, choices were made and we ended up with 2 spaces I am excited to be in every day. Barry is an excellent communicator who never seems to lose his cool - when I did with a vendor he stepped in and solved the problem. He responded to my texts within minutes and often responded with a call. I always felt that our job was the top of his priority list even when he had other jobs going on at the same time. His subs were excellent and worked hard and showed up when he told me they would. I knew each day what was happening and when. All this to say - Barry is worth every penny!

Throughout the remodeling process Barry did what he said he would do and followed through with all subcontractors to make sure they did the same. Concord Construction and Barry were recommended to me by a co-worker. This is the best recommendation I have ever received. I had gotten bids from other contractors in the past, and was never happy with the level of detail. I was looking for the perfect situation, and was so glad I found Barry. We redid the master bathroom from the studs out, made a huge and gorgeous new shower, added recess lights throughout the house, refinished kitchen cabinets, added granite countertops, a glass backsplash AND then tiled a fireplace and added built in cabinets on either side of the fireplace. Mr. Wilson has been working on several of my homes and businesses for many years. The difference is that he not only does extremely excellent work he does it with a level of creativity in a timely manner. His jobs almost always finish on time and on budget. With regards to our personal residence, he turned my back yard into a resort, built entire new kitchen, finished basement and turned our Master Bath into something that has made my wife extremely happy. We hired Barry to enclose our patio. We made it an all seasonal room from a screened in patio and were thoroughly impressed with him. He was professional, laid back and very responsive and flexible to our needs and wants. We have been very pleased with our experience with Barry. There were no hidden costs at the end of the project and we didn't feel as if he was trying to "upcharge" us. We first got the opportunity to work with Barry Wilson when he was the Superintendent when our home was being built 24 years ago. Since that time and now with Concord Construction he has done various jobs for us. The main job and my favorite, was the addition of our Screened in porch off our family room. His work well exceeded our expectations, he has great creativity and he suggested additional ideas that we wouldnt have thought of but made the final product turn out well above what we had planned. He has an excellent work ethic and is very personable and easy to work with. He will be the first to tell you if he thinks something will or will not work, whereas a lot of remodelers wont ask for your input on design. Barry at Concorde construction, has done several projects for us over the years. One being converting the screened in porch to all season room. They remodeled a couple bathrooms,One he remove a tub,installed a tile and glass shower enclosure. stall replace some flooring in the bathrooms with ceramic tile. Has done some trim work through our home, installing crown molding so a multitude of projects. His work is always been exemplary.

Barry Wilson with Concord Construction did a complete remodel of our 60 year old home. He was very easy to work with, reasonable, and did not disappear as soon as the project was done. Our project was complete two years ago and I can still call with a question and get a very fast response and help.
