Darlene Somrak is so knowledgeable and savvy in the realm of kitchen design. It was a pleasure to work with her and a comfort to have her at the helm of our kitchen project. She and Carl Polisena of Classic Custom Design worked well together to bring our dream kitchen to fruition. Selecting Carl is something we celebrate. He and Darlene were both on site and available for consultation in the countertop and backsplash measurement and installation. Darlene is creative while remaining sensitive to her clients' life style and use preferences, and Carl is superb at fulfilling that vision. We couldn't be happier.

I know this is a bit late in submitting the review but we are just enjoying our new kitchen so much. I am not one to write reviews very often but felt this was a way to say how much we are enjoying the fruits of their labor. Darlene was very professional and offered us so many choices to have the kitchen our dreams. We weren't aware of all the details needed or the choices available to us to renovate our 30 year old kitchen. Darlene was very detail oriented and made sure all the i's were dotted and the t's were crossed. The installers were so meticulous in their work. Thanks so much for giving us our dream kitchen!

It was an absolute pleasure for me and my husband to work with Darlene Somrak. We told her what we wanted and needed in our kitchen design, to make it functional for the way we use our kitchen, and she designed the most fabulous kitchen for us. She even took care of ordering all the appliances. Darlene made the whole process, from design to installation run smoothly. We’re glad to be part of the Somrak family!

We spent a great deal of time researching kitchen designers. We found Darlene Somrak during an unplanned trip along Richmond Road. We stopped in Somrak Kitchens and from the start were impressed with Darlene. Not only by her friendliness but by her extreme knowledge of not only kitchen cabinets but of construction, design, and implementation. After a visit to our home Darlene suggested closing a doorway and moving a wall which enabled us to have a fantastic kitchen. There was no pressure from her for us to make immediate decisions as she listened to our ideas as well. Once everything was decided upon she put us in touch with Chris Vogel,of Suburban Carpentry who was a perfectionist! He was very reliable and so knowledgeable about everything from placement of the cabinets to installing the appliances. Our gratitude for both Darlene and Chris cannot be overstated.

I can't go on enough about how amazing it is to work w/Darlene. She has an uncanny sense of mind melding w/the client - taking your basic, well researched idea and take it to a new level. Who knew about the option of a great wood countertop instead of granite or quartz? Darlene is always willing to add some quirky, yet client specific, details. It's like you but on steroids! Wouldn't attempt a project w/o Darlene - AND she's fun!!!

Working with Somrak Kitchens and in particular Darlene Somrak was a great experience. Darlene listened to my concerns with my existing kitchen and offered a great solution to them. I now have a more efficient work flow between my kitchen and dining room as well as additional counter space. She also came up with a few creative ideas that solved problems I didn't know I had. By simply repositioning my pantry, I had space for a new mud room. My house has curved walls in several locations. She incorporated the curves into my design to enhance the overall appearance of the rooms. Darlene suggested using some existing features of my old kitchen in my new design which allowed me to stay within the budget that we originally discussed. I love the quality of the cabinets that were installed as well as the professionalism of all of the workman that were used in this process. I highly recommend working with this group.

We interviewed several contractors for our project but so happy we chose Somrak Kitchens to design and renovate our kitchen. We have been working with them since January and it has been a pleasure and stress free experience every step of the way, from the beautiful contemporary design and material choices to the actual remodeling process which just began a few weeks ago. Darlene and Bob are functioning not only as the CKDS but as the general contractors for our project standing behind every small detail with excellent personalized service. Their firm also offers a great variety of product choices. We can't wait for the final result in just a few short weeks.

Darlene Somrak was amazing in so many ways. Not only did she sit with us for hours to find out how we worked in our kitchen, she was also able to develop a beautiful great room kitchen area for our whole family to enjoy. Her knowledge and experience were invaluable. She was able to problem solve difficult areas as well as provide many practical storage solutions.Our kitchen/Great room is a joy to work and live in. I especially love my cork board for "pinning" invites etc. and I love my pull out drawer with dividers to store those lids for the pans that have always been homeless. Darlene thought of clever solutuions for everything making cooking and cleaning a joy. Her installer was a genius and all cabinets, lighting etc. were installed on time and in a very professional manner.They were a pleasure to have in our home. I highly recommend Somrak Kitchens, not only for kitchens but any other home project that requires thoughtful creativity, professionalism and WOW factor.

Darlene Somrak was recommended to me last spring when my husband and I consulted a designer we knew. Darlene is friendly, resourceful and is a very good listener. She was ready and able to find us the right quality for the cabinetry we desired. She remained conscious of our budget and needs throughout the relatively few meetings we had together. We are very happy with our kitchen remodel and also with the service Darlene provided and would happily recommend her as an astute design professional.

A search for a local distributor to look at cabinets led me to Somrak for my kitchen remodel. Darlene suggested a better cabinet line and also redid my architect-supplied plan to one that fit the space much better and increased storage capacity. As with all remodels, timing was critical for removal, utility relocation, and cabinet and appliance replacement. We were never out of step, nor out of spec and minimal disruption over the holidays was a tremendous bonus. Suburban Contractors did a superb job with installation. Darlene has been in the business for more years than she likes to admit, but her command of the latest trends and technology, coupled with her eye for understanding your individual taste, makes it easy to recommend Somrak Kitchens for any new construction or remodeling projects. We love our new kitchen and only wonder why we waited 20 years.

Somrak Kitchens has helped us design a fabulous kitchen in our current home and is now helping us to design cabinets in our vacation home. Not only do they provide kitchen design services, but they will provide beautiful cabinets for many other rooms. We love working with Darlene Somrak, she pays attention to all the details of design so you don't have to worry if everything will come together as planned! I had pre-made cabinets installed in my bedroom and office space. They took quite a bit of custom configuring to make them fit in each of the spaces. Darlene Somrak was terrific through the whole process. She is very experienced with old houses and knew a lot of the details that needed to be planned for in order to make the installation work smoothly. She was happy to work with me in the price-point I was looking at and the cabinets are beautiful and have worked exactly as I had hoped. When I had a small problem with a drawer 6 months after installation, she was very responsive and got the problem worked out quickly.
