Ive worked with David on multiple residential projects, and he’s one of the best architects I’ve collaborated with. As an engineer, I really appreciate how clean, accurate, and buildable his plans are. He communicates clearly, responds quickly, and always designs with both the client and construction team in mind. Highly recommend David for any custom home or remodel project.

David Manning is one of the most innovative architects that I've seen. He manages to blend form and function beautifully. He really listens to your needs and offers great suggestions and options. We interviewed a few architects to finish a full remodel project on our house. From the moment we met him, David was very open, incredibly friendly and personable and full of ideas. There was no pressure from David, and he took the time to walk around the house, talk about our ideas, offer his own and go over our partly finished plans. He gave us time to talk and think as we interviewed other architects. For us, the decision to use David was easy. David's price was very reasonable, especially considering his many years of experience and his expertise in his field. Communication with David was easy and he made the process low-stress for us. One thing we really appreciate about David, is that he isn't part of a large firm and you get a very personal and individualized experience. Additionally, he was open to the type of remodel that we wanted, and did not push us towards any trends or any of his own preferences. David is kind, personable, reasonable and experienced!

We hired David for architectural plans for remodeling our sun room into a proper extra room. From our very first meeting, David was diligent in making sure he understood both of our visions for the remodel, and helping us reconcile the differences. He advised us on both big-picture and more detail-oriented decisions. We had multiple revisions and David was always willing to incorporate them. David was an excellent communicator throughout the project and we wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

David Manning was a joy to work with. He was very open to our ideas, and was willing to do as many revisions and added details as we wished. It was a pleasure working with David. He was always responsive when needing to answer questions to the city, and was willing to go above and beyond to make sure our plans were perfect for us and the way we live.

David Manning has been in the architecture and design process with us for a year now, from helping us decide which lot to purchase, and we are finally breaking ground on our custom home in the hill country in about 2 weeks. It has been long and difficult to create our own custom home design that fits the special location, the design requirements and budgetary constraints. I am certain that he did not expect us to be as demanding as we have been, but he has handled our process with patience, professionalism, and perseverance. David was great to work with on our hunting cabin expansion. He made the budget work and fit the design in to match our expansion cabin. It has been a great addition to the property.

Although I have known David Manning and his work for over 10 years, I am at the early stage of my first project. David is a knowledgeable, thoughtful, and thorough design architect who melds place, setting, and client's preferences into his designs in a dynamic dialogue. David was patient and insightful as we worked through our project plans. We had a list of what we wanted (or thought we wanted), and David provided insights to guide us to a design that was more than what we could have imagined. He was patient as we redrew lines and asked about some alternatives. At the end, I think he knew more of our "style" than we did - and the end result could not have been better.

Working with David was a wonderful experience. This is our first time to build a home and David guided us through the architectural process so beautifully. We were needing a mobility accessible home designed after Hurricane Harvey destroyed our home. David designed us a beautifully appointed home that will be totally accessible in all areas and yet aesthetically functional for all. David consulted with us on renovation project. We wanted to keep the same footprint, but wanted to make the space more usable. David gave us lots ofm ideas and produced house plans we can use with the contractors. David suggested for how we can make the most of our footage - while also preparing for future projects above and beyond. Even though our project was not huge, we felt like we were his top priority. Both our family and our family business have been an active part of the Rosedale neighborhood for generations and place a priority on being sensitive to the character of central Austin. David Manning is great at taking an idea or concept from a client and turning it into a beautiful reality. He is easy to work with and listened well to arrive at a design that exceeded our expectations but was consistent with our budget. Our project was simple but was treated with the professionalism and focus that I would expect if it were a major endeavor. We are hoping to move forward with implementing his design in early 2016.

David Manning is the very talented architect who helped us transform our 1980s country style home into a modern minimalist home. The project included moving many walls (including a load bearing wall), creating a new kitchen and adding a media room, bathroom, large garage and loft.
