Eric of Desakota took over from a previous contractor and finished a 2 bedroom suite in our basement and we can not be happier with the results. He and his team of subcontractors were all pleasant, efficient and always showed up when expected. The project was finished on time and on budget. What a difference from our first contractor! It's good to know there are still honest people in this world. As an aside, the 3 large window wells add lots of light in the basement.

We hired Eric and his team to do a major renovation on our home in North Vancouver. Eric and our Architect worked closely to establish the design that worked well with our family's needs. This was the first large renovation we have done and were very pleased with how everything turned out. Eric was patient and surrounds himself with good sub-trades which make all the difference in the end product. As you can see from the photos the home turned out incredible.

Eric was great even although he had to work around an Strata contractor who was brought in to repair leaks in the envelope as they were found. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. His trades were also great people. We would use him again and have recommended him to others already.

We hired Desakota for a renovation on our one level bungalow to extend it out back and add a second floor still maintaining a 50's modern vibe. In the process we more than doubled the square footage of the living space by adding to the footprint of the house with additional footings, foundation and of course a second floor. This was our first big renovation and based on our observations of friends and relatives with similar projects, I think we really lucked out when we picked Desakota Developments for the project. They came in on budget and came in on time. They made sure that we were part of the process and even helped us make decisions that improved the our project with larger skylights and improved window configurations. We had the good fortune to engage DESAKOTA Developments in the full renovation and upgrade of our North Vancouver home in 2011. Working with an architect referred by DESAKOTA we arrived at a design that met our vision of the home both functionally and aesthetically. The project was unique as we remained in the home and moved between floors as each was completed (not advisable under any circumstances!!) but this challenge was taken in stride by the management and on site crew. At all times the project was well managed by a professional onsite project manager and team. Subcontractors were professional, responsive and on budget. All invoicing was detailed and well organized. Although these project can evolve both financially and physically, when referencing our original cost estimates DESAKOTA were spot on with their budgeted costs and will work with you to manage both your expectations and spending. The work on our home is of a high quality and the attention to detail evident.
