Russell took my last minute call when my old appliance failed. Had me quoted and scheduled for delivery within 24 hours. Stella (the delivery and installation team) was fantastic as well.

Cinthya Guallpa was incredibly helpful, not only with the recent order of a new wall oven, but also previously with a new refrigerator. In both cases, she went the extra mile to explain the pros and cons of several options and was incredibly patient with all of our many questions! We highly recommend Designer Appliances generally, and Cinthya specifically!

Designer Appliances in Upper Montclair is an excellent and unexpected great resource for kitchen appliances! They had been recommended to me by 3 different people and from the moment I entered the store, I knew I was in the right place. My consultant Russell Berta (also recommended specifically by 2 of the 3 people) was welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, extremely professional and exceptionally responsive. He answered every question I had and quickly found out answers when he didn't know off the top of his head. I was buying 6 kitchen appliances and he was an incredible source of information on each and every one of them. Russell produced numerous quotes for the various options I was considering quickly and with good humor. Then my order was finally placed, he immediately developed a "book" of appliance specifications for all of the appliances and shared it with me and my kitchen contractor. I had shopped at all of the "Big Box Stores" as well as some large local appliance retailers and found D.A.'s pricing to be extremely competitive but what sold it for me was the knowledge demonstrated and the feeling that I would have top notch professionals doing the installation and delivery and that Russell would be working with me until the end of the process and until I was totally happy with my purchases. Kitchen remodel is not as easy as you think. Colors, cabinets, countertops, functionality, space utilization, aesthetics, symmetry, oh my. But Russell Berta made appliances a NO Brainer. We went looking for a Range Hood and Drawer microwave. Walked out with a Thermador deal. Very happy with Russ at Designer Appliances.

We went to the Montclair, NJ showroom to check out some products we'd researched online. We're doing a full kitchen remodel and need all-new everything, but we were focused that day on seeing a few high-quality 36" gas ranges. We were willing to spend a sizeable part of our appliance budget on that single item. Russ patiently showed us various products that met our criteria and discussed cost-saving options. We wound up purchasing a Thermador package that included all five items we needed (fridge, range, microwave, hood, and dishwasher). The buy-one, get-one deal meant that all five items cost the amount we'd planned to spend on the fridge and range alone. On top of that, Russ modified the deal when we asked, communicated so well, and even threw in a fun accessory for the range. The flexible and free delivery will make our overall project easier to manage. Everything worked at Designer Appliances—the financial aspect, the product quality, and the customer service. We highly recommend this store!
