About Us

Designing Connections always has an eye toward gracious living. I specialize in facilitating communication between client, architect, builder, and designer. My designs are universal and I love to coordinate with workrooms, fabricators and installers for the best possible results. Whether new construction or a renovation, the personal taste of clients is top priority. I will help make your space "even MORE you"! I get inspiration from my clients. We work as a team. Client stories are helpful in defining a space that they will truly love and is uniquely theirs. Our beautiful and natural Florida surroundings come into play as well and I look for creative ways to create wonderful vistas. In addition, modern technology can make life much easiier. Technology is incorporated into the design and current trends considered. In addition, I have had extensive training in the "aging in place" concepts and recognize that clients prefer to stay in familiar spaces as long as possible. I am certified to work with aging clients and their families to ensure their on-going comfort. My experience with local builders, contractors and trades people is invaluable. After nearly 30 years in the Southwest Florida market, I have confidence in the people I recommend to provide services and know they will stand behind their work. My 'Connections' will work for you!

We worked with Cheryl on our kitchen remodeling project. She was a joy to work with as we felt it was truly a cooperative effort. She proposed her design based on our lifestyle, gave us an opportunity to absorb her suggestions and then we continued forward in a collaborative spirit. Cheryl completed my full reno on a 30 year old condo in Naples FL. Pushed out walls, lanai, rewired, plumbing, windows, decorating. Cheryl turned an extremely dated condo into a contemporary, unique and functional home. I was kept focused with options that were within my thinking yet "outside the box". The project was the design of our completely renovated kitchen. The interior design plan and advice were excellent. Timely and at a reasonable cost. We liked the new ideas that we would never have thought of ourselves. The designer went with us to see options, brought samples when appropriate, and helped by recommending selections. We made the final decision, but the designer's input was critical to the success of the project. The designer worked well with the contractor and reviewed the work when the contractor was finished. At the designer's suggestion, the contractor returned and did some final improvements. The designer was with us and advising us from the start of the project to the completion of the project. We are very happy with the results.

Created a Master Bathroom and closet space by completely changing the previous layout and space. With vision, refigured the space to create that resulted in an enhanced bathing environment and grooming atmosphere. Excellent creativity in selection of materials and the integration of cabinetry and surfaces. The coordination of flooring, wall surfaces, colors and textures was superior. The master closet was creatively fitted to the space available. Finally, lighting, one of her strengths, was innovative and perfect.

We have used Cheryl Wilson to help with 4 separate major interior and exterior renovation projects at our house in Naples over the last 10 years. Her creativity and ability to help us visualize proposed changes, coupled with her focus on functionality added immensely to the ultimate success of all these projects. In each case, we were out of town during the actual construction, but Cheryl worked on a daily basis with the architects and builders before and during all of the construction to assure delivery of exactly the product we envisioned. We have never worked with a designer that has a better ability to understand and interpret the desires of the owner. Her sense of color and the attention to detail is unsurpassed. We have recommended Cheryl to many of our friends, who have all had just as wonderful an experience using her services. We are convinced that Cheryl is largely responsible for the wonderful home we now enjoy and that she delivered that service while saving us thousands of dollars in the process.
