Would I recommend to a friend or family: No, unless you can be on top of their team and make sure they are completing work to the best of their ability. Our team consisted of the following: - Ben (General Contractor) - saw him twice throughout the project. - Isabela (Designer) - was our point person, did a great job of hearing us out and adding her thoughts when we asked. - Derek (Project Manager) - came around every so often. - Aaron and his team I want to share my honest experience, as there were several recurring issues throughout this project that I think future clients should be aware of. Communication Problems Communication between team members was inconsistent, and I frequently found myself acting as the go-between for different parts of the team -- which shouldn't be the homeowner's job. For example, when we first discussed removing the kitchen tile and installing LVP flooring, Ben confirmed this was possible. In a later conversation, we were told there were actually two options because the counters sit on top of the tile. We accepted the tradeoffs and confirmed we wanted to move forward with the demo and LVP installation anyway. Isabela then told us it was definitely possible -- and shortly after, said it wasn't. This kind of back-and-forth made it hard to trust that anyone was fully in sync. Communication also broke down near the end of the project. We asked to be notified in advance when workers would be arriving so we could plan our weekends accordingly. Despite sending these requests every Friday, we had multiple weekends with no communication and no notice. Lack of Timeline Transparency I work in an environment with a lot of competing priorities, so having a clear project timeline matters a great deal to me. Unfortunately, there were multiple points during the project where we had little to no visibility into when specific phases would actually be completed, which made planning around the renovation difficult. Inattention to Detail Several smaller details were not handled to a professional standard: The caulking on the second floor is patchy and inconsistent in multiple areas. When we flagged this with the ECO team, the workers sent to fix it said they would only address certain sections, not the full scope of the issue. The corner floorboards are not flush, leaving noticeable gaps. When we brought this up, we were told, "I don't know if we can do that because they would have to sand it and repaint." Flush floorboards should be a baseline standard, and these gaps came across as a lack of willingness to do the work needed for a professional finish. Material Quality Some of the materials used did not match what I'd expect from a company that markets itself as specializing in high-end remodeling. A few items appeared to be sourced from Amazon and had defects that required replacement with the same product.

Eco Homes has poor project management and up-charge on everything, any questions you send your project manger may not even be answered. If you cancel a contract even if it’s only been a week they will charge you 13% of the total contract to cancel, even if they did nothing. Do not go with them.
