Jeff and his team did an excellent job. Replaced a retaining wall, front steps and landscape. From planning the project to its completion it was a pleasure. At the end of each day the work area was cleaned up and organized. Exceeded my expectations. A full transformation of the front of my home.

We hired American Beauty to build a poolside patio in our backyard. The job required walling off and backfilling a sloped section of the yard, paving out the patio, and replacing several sections of fence. Jeff did fantastic work and our family is loving the new patio. He started the job on the date promised, and finished the job in a week as planned, despite rain on and off the entire week. Jeff was great about working within our budget and giving us different options and ideas. He showed us photos of his past jobs and took the time to take us to several of his past sites, as well as to the masonry shop to see and choose the right pavers in person. It's rare to find people like Jeff to work with these days. He seems to genuinely care about making you a happy customer and doing the best work possible. We will definitely be using American Beauty again for future projects.

American Beauty provided a detailed outline and cost estimate to what I thought was a complex project. From the beginning Jeff was in constant contact with us and provided us with samples of various products. The crew delivered a perfect job on time and most important on budget. After a terrible experience with another local landscaper, our tree care professional recommended we speak to Jeff Carpenter at AMLD. The quality of the our landscape and the attention from Jeff during all phases of the project have exceeded our expectations. While the quality of the work and plants, given the expense, is very important, it is the process to get to to our comfort level on the project that sets AMLD from other companies. Jeff is incredibly patient and wants what is best for his clients. Jeff meets as much as necessary to get just the right look you want for the exterior of your home. He is not afraid to alter his design depending on budget considerations. Jeff also logically spread our project over two seasons so that we had a logical way to redo our entire yard, front and rear. You know the results are great when random neighbors from the town come up to you and compliment the work! During the summer of 2017, we wanted to rebuild our decrepit patio. The planning process began months prior with our first call to American Beauty Landscape Design (“ABLD”). The principal met with us directly and we immediately new we wanted to work with his firm. To be diligent, we obtained three additional quotes from other reputable contractors. There was no comparison. The degree of professionalism, patience, time and attention dedicated to us by ABLD was unparalleled. Not only did the principal take our desired concepts to design, he personally took us to three nearby homes where his firm had completed jobs for a real-life touch and feel experience. We met and planned the project several times before work ever began. He didn’t ask for a penny until materials, crew and equipment were delivered on site, and work began same day. He started on time, completed the project on time, and within budget. The principal was on site daily with his crew. As any homeowner can attest, issues will arise when completing a home improvement project. He made our project his own, and we were never taken advantage of. Every dollar spent was maximized. We were so enthralled with how things went, we didn’t stop with the patio and ultimately landscaped our entire backyard. To give any reader a sense of scope, we demolished our existing red brick patio and traditional staircase to install a two-tone blue stone paver patio with cascading stairs and new natural retaining wall; graded the entire rear yard; installed all new plantings; installed a new privacy fence; and laid sod across the entire area. We will use ABLD again on future projects and couldn’t recommend a firm more highly.

From start to finish, Jeff and the American Beauty team were professional, knowledgeable, responsive and dedicated. The service Jeff provides are exceptional and unmatched. It was quickly evident that Jeff approaches the process as if he was designing and building a patio for himself, with the highest level of quality. Jeff researches every aspect and provides the facts and insights for you to make a well informed decision. This level of service are invaluable and Jeff simply does it better than anybody around.

American Beauty is a truly professional organization. Both Jeff and Greg, the owners, are involved on site with their workers. All the workers, and owners, are polite, professional, honest and do excellent work. In this business, you get what you pay for, and although American Beauty is not the least expensive in their business, you get what you pay for. I highly recommend them.

We have worked with American Beauty for approximately 25 years for annual lawn and grounds maintenance as well as several capital projects. These projects included the installation of a new patio and walkway and our biggest project was the back yard preparation for an in-ground pool, paver decking and retaining walls and backyard landscaping to complement the pool. In all instances the work, materials and associated costs were explained in advance to our satisfaction and the project work was very high quality. They are professional and courteous and we have recommended American Beauty to several friends over the years.
