TALON Construction

I cannot speak highly enough of Robin Hawke, owner of Talon Construction. She is very detailed oriented, and gifted in her ability to envision a project. She reconstructed my deck, which also serves as a carport (My house is on a hill. So the deck extends from the rear of the house and forms a carport beneath.) The trick was to allow the deck to drain water below so the wood would not rot, but to keep the carport area dry. Robin created an aluminum ceiling about 3 inches below the deck on an incline so that the water would drain into a gutter at the edge. It works beautifully, and has really enhanced the appearance of my home. I highly recommend her. She is very innovative.

Her ability as a contractor, of course, is nothing short of excellence. Robin is the brainchild behind organizing the logistics of completing complicated and out-of-the-box design ideas I bring to the table. She approaches each unique request with a can-do attitude, and always figures out how to execute even the most demanding designs (flawlessly at that). Robin has the utmost care for her client’s comfort, safety, wellbeing, and budget. She proceeds through the project, from start to finish, with their best interests in mind on all levels. Always working as a team player, she willingly voices her opinion to aid to the improvement of the design, but she will also listen and trust in the vision of her designer. It’s always been a winning combination with Robin, and I can’t wait for our next project together!

From the initial project in 2009, a total home renovation which included reconstructing the stairway with shorter risers and had a specific time line and budget that Robin nailed, all with a very challenging client, I have had great confidence in recommending their work to my clients. Robin Hawke at Talon General contractors remodeled my master bathroom. This involved reconfiguring the shower, new custom cabinets, new flooring, changes to the closet, and more. What started as a plain white, boring, outdated bathroom is now a masterpiece. I could not be more pleased with the results. Throughout the project R Hawke & her team were amazing to work with. They were professional & friendly always making an effort to give me the bathroom of my dreams.
