Artisan Construction and Design is a complete design/build firm. What does that mean? It means you make one phone call and the rest is handled for you! You don't have to hire an architect to draw plans for your remodeling project and you don't have to deal with the headache of being the go-between for your architect and contractor. The highly skilled team at Artisan Construction & Design will work with you to create the space you have been envisioning. We will guide you through the remodeling process, helping you know what to expect each step of the way. You will have control over aspects of the project like when Artisan employees will arrive each day, how you would like them to gain access to your property. Your satisfaction is our highest priority! CEO John Price has been in the remodeling business for over 25 years. He knows it all! He is a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Accredited Professional) a Certified Remodeler (CR), and Universal Design Certified Professional (UDCP). He is also currently chairman of the board of the Central California Chapter of NARI (National Association of Remodeling Industry) and has held positions on the National Board of Directors for the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). When it comes to construction work, you typically get to pick two of three things: Quality work, quick work, and affordable work. Artisan was all three for us. We were so happy with them. We needed a few simple fixes in our bathroom but didn't have the time or handy background do it ourselves. Artisan was easy to get a hold of, and quickly gave us confidence that the job would get done well! Thanks again guys!

When we needed our livingroom and a guest bathroom remodeled, we searched through a few local companies. We decided - after much deliberation - to work with Artisan. They were absolutely fantastic. The work they did was top of the line; everything came out just the way we imagined it. Better, even! But the thing I was most impressed with was the constant communication. I was never wondering what they were doing, planning, etc. They kept me updated throughout the entire process, and I was thankful for that.

Artisan Construction & Design completed a kitchen renovation project for us in Merced. John is extremely knowledgable and clearly is very passionate about his work. He is a true craftsman. Everyone who worked on our kitchen was very professional and the work was completed in a timely manner. We couldn't have ever pictured how beautiful our kitchen could be. I would recommend Artisan to anyone looking for extremely high quality work.

My husband and I were completely impressed with Artisan Construction! John had such great ideas for our kitchen we couldn't help but to jump on board! His team was professional, clean, patient and respectful when working in our home. We were, and still are 100% satisfied with the kitchen Artisan Construction created.

Mr. Price and the Artisan Construction crew were professional and did a great job on our (very unplanned!) kitchen/bathroom repair/remodel job! We had a shower water leak that made its way to the kitchen and we ended up replacing the shower and remodeling some of the kitchen, after repairing the water damage. California environmental laws required a "haz-mat" cleanup, which complicated things and took extra time.The law also resulted in the need for all new flooring and tile, because of asbestos and lead issues, which were discovered at very low levels and were common when the home was originally built in the 1970's. The Artisan crew was very reliable and were easy to work with throughout our ordeal and made the experience as pleasant as possible. They went out of their way to accommodate our schedules. Mr. Price made numerous suggestions that we accepted and they all turned out great. The finished product resulted in essentially a new kitchen, which my wife loves and found to be much more workable than the original kitchen. the wood flooring and Silestone counters look great and are a major improvement too. Extra cabinet work made for more storage and more usable storage, while keeping most of the original cabinets and reducing costs. Artisan's project foreman and crew were all great to work with and made sure we were kept up to date on what was going on and what to expect. This was a small job for Artisan, but we were treated like important people, making the initial pain of this forced remodel much less traumatic!

We had Artisan do some work on our home in this summer (2015). We need a window installed into a room that had no previous window. Artisan obtained a permit from the city for the work. All the crew involved in drywall, texture, molding and painting were friendly and professional. John and his team answered all our questions, and they were easy to reach when we needed them. I love my new room. I would definitely use Artisan again without a doubt!

Artisan did a bathroom and bedroom remodel for us on our 1936 house. John drew up the design also. They did quality work that they stood by 100%. The workers were unobtrusive and diligent each step of the way. John was very helpful in talking us through the process and really knows his stuff!! The quality of their work really lends value to their services. I would much rather hire a company with legit credentials than a one man operation. I recommend Artisan to all my friends and would absolutely work with them again!
