Working with Michelle and Lauren was an absolute blast! Having just moved into a new home, they came to the table with a plethora of ideas, vision and samples to keep me plenty entertained and excited about my project. They helped me get out of my very safe and neutral rut and created designs than truly reflects my family's personality and our lifestyle. Not only are Michelle and Lauren professional, they brought a unique and enthusiastic charm that made each meeting something to look forward to. I walked away with not only a beautiful new home, but with two new lovely friends. I look forward to working with them again soon!

We used SKIN Interior Design for our Miami Beach home extension and renovation. Michelle and her team have been nothing short of exceptional. Michelle understood the design and feel we wanted for the project right away and presented us with plans that were both within our comfort zone and slightly outside of it. My husband and I appreciated this approach. Project execution with the SKIN team has been excellent. Michelle and her crew are highly hands-on, organized, and systematic. I've personally done a few shopping trips with Michelle where we have looked at tiles, furniture, antiques, etc, and what a delightful time we have had. We are still working on this project, but we are very much looking forward to its completion. I would hire SKIN Interior Design again in a heartbeat.

SKIN made me envious of my own home! I loved working with the designers because they really listened to what I wanted in each space. Their use of color is exemplary and I feel they are unmatched in being able to layer a space with a mix of patterns, genres and even price points. My home looked like no other after project completion. It looked like me, but better! I would highly recommend hiring SKIN for your next home project.

We worked with Michelle and Lauren and their team in Chicago to make our rehabbed Victorian home come alive after 120 years. The team at SKIN possesses notable artistic talent and authentic worldly sensibility. They helped us to create a beautiful blend between elements of the past and present. The process was so fun! Their hands on approach and overall calming presence grew our confidence for literally hundreds of decisions. Working with Michelle brought continuity, creativity and personalization to the process. She is a devoted professional who is not afraid to push her clients to dream and trust their instincts. She will not steer you wrong. No two rooms in our home are alike and yet they all feel like they belong together. SKIN encouraged us to apply our maximalist philosophy as we played with the layering of color, pattern and texture to create depth and interest in each space. They also helped us to create livability and purpose in each room. Our three teenagers now have an appreciation for how design enhances our daily lives in both form and function. The team at SKIN are art connoisseurs and they will help find pieces of value that speak to their clients. We were also encouraged to invest in pieces of heirloom quality furniture and I am forever grateful that I will now be able to pass along collectors items to our children. Each room in our home is an artistic creation. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think to myself how much I absolutely love our home. It is my favorite piece of art in the world!

I love working with SKIN! I hired the team to help me select the basics including paint, carpeting, tile, lighting and hardwood flooring color when I moved to a new house. We also worked on my dining room and entry hall. Lauren quickly came up with an overall, cohesive plan. She is great at creating sophisticated, traditional rooms with a twist, using bold color, and mixing new with old furniture and accessories.

Lauren has excellent taste and style. She is able to look at a room, floor plan, and house and give it a "face lift" with consideration given to detail and price. In the event that you are not completely satisfied with the overall look, she will take back whatever merchandise doesn't work and will fix anything that is not perfect at her expense. Lauren aims to please and is a perfectionist. Even when things don't go as planned, she will make sure the end product is perfect and to your satisfaction.

Lauren is a wonderful designer. She designs rooms that are timeless and classic but up to date and fresh. I like to say that we have the same taste - but hers is better. She understands what I like but makes it much more fabulous. I have worked with her on 3 different homes, from a summer cottage to a huge city factory conversion, choosing fixtures and finishes, fabrics and furniture from the start to finish. She helping me on my fourth project now. She is very professional and wonderful to work with in every way.
