When Melissa arrived at our home she was there to listen. Her goal wasn't to impress on us what her dreams were for our house, but to help us begin to clearly envision what we wanted for our own home. I never once felt like Melissa was siding with just one of us. She managed to walk through our concept phase determined to provide both of us a sense of collaboration in the process. Imagine someone turning your Pinterest board of your words and thoughts into reality – that’s exactly what Melissa did. The ideas that we talked about popped onto the page. We would be living in a soothing and serene retreat. It was spa-like, yet I didn't feel like I, as the husband, was being removed from the picture. As Melissa presented the concepts to us, she helped us see how we were deeply ingrained into her choices. These weren’t just her ideas, but she skillfully drew alongside our desires and longings and sought to take this journey with us. Melissa imbued light into our room and life into our suggestions. We felt heard. She was able to cater to our needs, provide outstanding value and helped us see that she was able to move things from one step to another. Never keeping us waiting or guessing. Communication was clear, concepts were courageous and her character is charismatic. Finding a designer who truly gets you is rare, but Melissa is a true gem. We thank her.

Melissa is very meticulous in everything she does. She lovingly goes above and beyond in a project to make sure everyone is happy and accommodates their unique needs.

I recently had a new shower installed in my master bathroom, and I needed professional help choosing tile and paint. The first thing Melissa did was zero in on the correct wall color that worked best with my granite countertop. (Melissa pointed out we needed to have a focal point, which was the countertop). I had previously picked out some paint samples on my own, but none of them were even close to working with the countertop, and I was feeling overwhelmed with the decision until she suggested two beautiful options. Her expertise with colors was something that the average person like me does not have. For the tile in the shower, she helped me choose the wall and floor tiles pretty quickly. Then came designing the rest of the shower with accent tile and a border, which I really struggled with on my own beforehand. Melissa suggested an absolutely beautiful accent tile and figured out the placement. Again, her expertise with shades and tones was beyond my abilities. I was extremely happy with Melissa's help. If she had not helped me, I probably would have ended up with no accent borders and an overall boring look. I would highly recommend her for any project.

Melissa does more research and considers more options than most. She strikes a great balance between being creative and practical. When I discussed projects with her, I felt she was listening to my needs and able to interpret my vision.
