About Us

My early years working in the garment district of New York City shaped my career in textile manufacturing and expanded my knowledge of luxury fabrics. I later went on to work for Cowtan & Tout in New York City’s famous D & D building. Working for this Iconic fabric house I continued to grow as a designer. I moved from Manhattan to Connecticut more than 10 years ago. I worked for myself as an Interior Designer for many years here in Connecticut. Working on my own gave me the opportunity to learn how to manage many different types of projects. This time also allowed me to work with a wonderful and diverse group of clients. This experience really helped me to learn how to listen to a client and respond to their needs. I am now working as a Design Consultant for Ethan Allen in Canton Connecticut. This is my second time working for this brand. I truly believe as a designer in the quality and timeless style of their furniture. So when I was asked to return it was an easy decision to make. My philosophy on Design is simple..”function before design”. Who lives in this room? What is the function of the space? Only then can we make it a beautiful space. I work closely with my clients listening to their needs wants and desires for their spaces. I want the rooms I design to be rooms my clients truly enjoy and love to spend time in.

I found working with Michael exceptional. I have had the pleasure of working with Michael for a number of years. I just recently moved to a new home and one of the rooms on the first floor was my first project and my first call was to Michael to discuss my vision for the room. Michael took the time to sit with me and listen to what I wanted my family and friends to feel when they spent time in the room. The room is complete and it is stunning. I highly recommend Michael to come and listen to your vision because he has a way of bringing it to life!

Michael Mueller has completed numerous projects for me in the last several years from a complete family room redesign with furnishings to a face lift for my kitchen. Michael is professional, meticulous and has never disappointed me with his suggestions. He has a knack for determining exactly what his clients are looking for. Michael is incredibly talented and I love everything he has done in my home!

Michael Muller was wonderful to work with. Our first project was my family room. I gave him some general ideas about the colors I like.He asked insightful questions and within a few weeks he had put together an entire room on a "story board".. It incorporated different fabrics and textures which I loved. He was also able to incorporate some of my existing furniture which enabled me to stay within my budget.When we needed other professionals on the job he arranged their tasks in a timely manner and met all deadlines. We enjoyed working with Michael so much that we have let him decorate our bedroom, dining room and direct a complete rehab of our powder room. Mary Schulz.

I first worked with Michael in 2011 when I arranged a design consultation with a furniture store he was working with at the time. I was looking for a complete update of my living room that would be traditional enough to complement the architecture of our 1930s home yet be casual enough to withstand our active lifestyle. The fabrics, furniture and floor coverings he chose were not only beautiful, but were thoughtfully selected to stand up to our 2 active English setters. Since then, Michael has worked alone to design our recently updated kitchen, converted our rarely used dining room into a gorgeous dining room/library and orchestrated an expansion of our outdated master bath to a beautiful spa-like retreat. When it became apparent that the latter project would fail to meet the deadline promised by our less reliable general contractor, Michael stepped in to insure that the project moved along as smoothly as possible and supported us every step of the way. It is this rare mix of talent, work ethic and integrity that will keep us coming back to Michael for all of our future design needs.

Michael is an outstanding designer. He takes the time to truly understand the taste and preferences of the buyer and never tries to push simply to make a sale. Once he has understood your preferences, he looks for designs or pieces that work well together an meet your budget. Michael has helped me with numerous projects over a number of years and has always met or exceeded my expectations for service and skill.

We worked with Michael to decorate our living room and dining room. He helped us to find pieces of furniture and accessories that matched our tastes and what we were envisioning. He transformed the rooms into beautiful spaces in our home that we are proud of. From paint color, fabric and furniture pieces, Michael did an excellent job of selecting furniture that were not only attractive but fit our decorating tastes. Michael is professional, courteous and worked to fulfill what were looking for in style. We looking forward to working with Michael and Ethan Allen again soon.

Commented: Replace or restoreThe table is the only piece worth saving in my opinion. If you had a dinning room and could use the table I would pair them with upholstered parsons chair.
