Moderno was founded 2003 where a large focus began on custom homes in Canmore and inner-city Calgary. The Moderno name is Italian for Modern, as we found that whether we were building a large mountain executive home, an inner-city traditional home, or a contemporary home, the elements our customers seem to be looking for were modern comforts. With Michael having roots to Italy, thus, the name Moderno was born. While we are not the largest custom builder in Calgary and surrounding areas, we are the right size to focus on our customers’ dreams and deliver a high-quality product. Our people are like family. We are a close-knit group of professional and motivated people who all take our company and duties seriously. Our loyalty to our customers is first and foremost. Our loyalty to our people is just as important, which is why we are able to retain exceptional people who love being part of the Moderno Family. Moderno believes that being open and transparent during the build process is vital to our mission as a company and equally as vital to your experience with us. While we can acknowledge that building a home can be an endeavour equal to climbing a mountain, it is not without its hiccups and challenges throughout the process.
