Odila, thank you for your kind words about my responsiveness. I want to address your concerns honestly, because every Rachiele® client deserves a complete and accurate response.

Regarding sink depth - after more than two decades as a professional kitchen designer, I can tell you with confidence that deeper single-bowl sinks with rear corner drains are one of the leading causes of lower back discomfort during daily kitchen use. The depth I recommended was based on protecting your comfort for decades of use, not on convenience.

Your sink is crafted from 316L surgical-grade stainless steel - the highest grade available in any kitchen sink on the market. The marks you are seeing are surface micro-abrasions that occur with daily use in any stainless steel sink. The meaningful difference with a Rachiele® hand-finished sink is that the entire surface can be restored to a like-new appearance at any time with nothing more than a Scotch-Brite pad - something no mass-produced polished or brushed sink can offer. Those finishes, once scratched, are permanently marked.

We anticipated this question years ago. There is a video on our website where I intentionally scratch one of our sinks and then demonstrate exactly how completely those scratches disappear.

I also sent you a complimentary multipurpose grid with nylon bumpers to protect the sink floor during daily use going forward.
