Remodeling by Joseph

We employed Joeseph and his company. They were pretty good to work with until we got close to the end. They did not apply the right sealant for the tile on the shower floor. Joseph sent his guys back several times. Unfortunately, they could not resolve the problem. Joseph said that he had contacted the manufacturer for help. This was not true! After this went on too long I did contact the manufacturer and the agent we purchased from. Unfortunately, Joseph and/or his contractor never reached out to them. The answer is available but Joseph is not. He will not take or return any of our calls we are left with the need to remove all the tile in the shower floor and seal it with the right project. Please see photos below I would not hire this man or his company.

We recently hired Remodeling by Joseph to remodel our master bathroom. We couldn't be more satisfied with the entire process and end result. We had some design preferences in mind, a clear timeline and a dedicated budget range, however we recognized we needed some professional consulting on design, layout and making smart material choices that would meet our goals. We researched many contractors and interviewed 5 in person. It was important to us to trust the contractor and their team that would be in our home daily for the weeks of our project. The in-person interviews made it clear that Remodeling by Joseph was the best match for us. The master bathroom was completely remodeled including new floor and wall tile, frameless shower, freestanding tub, counter tops, mirrors, hardware, lighting, refinished cabinetry, window replacement, and painting. The project was completed ahead of the estimated schedule. The team was on site working daily. The project manager, Frank, was fantastic at coordinating all the details, timing and giving me daily updates on what to expect next. There were some minor things identified during the demolition that Joseph brought to our attention immediately with solid advice on how to best resolve. On the design side, Joseph spent time with us up front to get the ideas together on the new floorplan and finishes. He created a digital 3D rendering of the room so we could see how things would look together which was incredibly helpful. He also advised us on the cost implications of the various design choices (as it related to rerouting plumbing lines etc.) so that we could be conscious of the impact of our decisions. He also met us at the tile shop to help us look at options that would coordinate well together. This was incredibly helpful because the options are endless and can easily be an overwhelming experience. We specified we wanted granite countertops but were open to black, gray or white options. He went and found us options and presented them to us with his recommendations. He also saved us a good deal on the price as he found a remnant slab that fit our required square footage. And then there were all the other smaller bits of advice along the way on things to consider when we were picking out all the pieces which are too many to list here. I can say that we were very skeptical going in after having had a bad experience with a contractor a few years ago on some exterior work. We tried to do as much due diligence up front and we were very focused on finding someone who was a good communicator and who had a consultative style that could help us meet our goals. I cannot say enough about how respectful the team was, how much attention to detail they paid - including little things like sweeping up my entryway everyday before leaving. Construction projects are messy by nature, but they did their best to minimize the impact whenever possible. Regarding budget, Joseph came up with a detailed estimate up front and then revised it once we picked out the materials. He kept clear communication in writing through email, by text and by phone throughout the project. We did our part by responding promptly, making decisions when needed, and being accessible throughout. Payment terms were clearly laid out up front, were tracked throughout in order to keep to the budget, and were easy to see exactly what we were paying for as the work was completed satisfactorily. The end result is a beautiful, more functional master bathroom than we ever expected to get. We highly recommend Remodeling by Joseph for their keen design skill, project management, and remodeling talent.

The workers were respectful and pleasant. They worked around us living in the house when it was under construction. The floors came out great. My wife and I are so pleased.

Joseph and his team did everything we agreed upon plus more. A man who has integrity and stands behind his work. It's been a real pleasure to work with him.

Joseph and his crew did an amazing job on our bathroom remodel. We had an idea of what we wanted and were working within a pretty tight budget. From the initial consultation, Joseph was very thorough and detail-oriented. On the occasions when we had questions/concerns, he or his foreman always followed up promptly. Even when we had an issue pop up nearly a year after the completion of the project, Joseph replied immediately and the issue was resolved in less than three days! We now have a beautiful bathroom that we absolutely love! Remodeling by Joseph gave us a luxury look without blowing the budget. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family!

We purchased our home in July and the kitchen had a bad layout and was outdated, so we began our search for contractors. We had several meetings with different companies, but we really liked Joseph. He came to our home to give us an estimate. He listened very carefully to what we needed, took measurements and promised to get back with us shortly. Over the next few days he created an interactive digital plan for us with a few different options and presented it to us at our next meeting. We loved his design, met with his custom cabinet maker, set a date for demolition and waited patiently for D Day. Our remodel consisted of the following: demolished everything (down to the studs), new drywall, jackhammered the old ceramic tile, removed the horrific texture on the walls, painted the walls and ceiling, removed a built-in in the living room, tore down the old fireplace tile and retiled it, installed wood-looking porcelain tile in the kitchen, pantry, living room and my husband's office, recessed lighting in the kitchen with LED lights, custom shaker cabinets to the ceiling with under-cabinet lighting, herringbone backsplash, relocated the gas stove from the awkward peninsula to another wall, installed new appliances and light fixtures. We stayed in our home during the remodel. The estimated timeline for it was about 5 weeks and it took a little longer because of some cabinet issues. I think every remodel will have some problems- we had no crazy surprises, just a little delay that was out of our control and took some time to get right! Joseph was GREAT to work with, very nice and honest, and was always striving to make sure we were happy and ensurings things were done right. I am VERY picky and I notice everything, and he always bent over backwards to make sure things were done and/or fixed to my standards. He never made me feel like I was being unreasonable. His team was very professional as well. The two things that I love most about Joseph are that he is a Christian (and he truly walks that way) and he communicates very well. I am a texting queen and he always responded within minutes whether I called or texted. He made us feel as if we were his only clients, even though we weren't. He stopped by the site almost everyday to check on things, give us updates and answer our questions. I would absolutely recommend Remodeling by Joseph, he was a joy to work with. This was our first major remodel. Remodeling a vital part of your home can be very stressful, but having the right contractor makes all the difference. We used Remodeling by Joseph for our complete kitchen remodel including granite counters, tile floors and top and bottom cabinets. Joseph was able to customize to our needs, stay within our budget, and offer sound advice. His workers were timely, trustworthy, and skilled. Joseph was excellent to work with during our master bath remodel. He was attentive to our needs, followed up in a timely manner and finished the project on time. He and his team did quality work with great attention to detail while being sensitive to our requests.

Joseph was very professional and through in the remodeling we had done. We had two bathrooms completely remodeled and later our kitchen counter tops and back splash replaced. We took out our garden tub and replaced with a walk in shower. I was hesitant on taking his advise on where the opening should be to enter the shower. I am ever go glad and grateful, that Joseph took the time to explain to me on why his plan was the better plan. When the granite cutters cut the entire bath vanity to close, he replaced the entire double sink vanity with new granite. He was always very considerate and fair during the entire remodel. We had 3 estimates. He wasn't the lowest and not the highest bidder, but he was the only one to come out and completely explain all details of the contract. When an unexpected problem of termites arose, he took care of the problem at minimal cost to us. I continue to recommend Joseph when asked about our experience with him.
